We have now utilized Hurley Elder Care Law twice. First, in 2019, we were able to get all paperwork updated for our elderly parents. This included wills, POAs, etc. Having all this in place when our mother passed away in July 2020 allowed us to handle most things quickly and efficiently even while continuing to grieve. Having a POA in place for the parent who did not pass away was KEY. Imagine an 80-something year old person with no computer experience at all trying to navigate all the online processes necessary when someone does pass away. Then, earlier in 2020, my husband and I got all our affairs in order too (wills, POAs, etc). Though we are younger, anything can happen on any given day. Making certain everything is in order for when the time comes provides us (and our daughter who is an only child) peace of mind. Mr. Hurley and his entire staff are so easy to work with, incredibly knowledgeable, and super fast on responses to emails/phone calls. Even when our Mom was being transferred to a nursing facility quickly, they were there helping us navigate that entire process too (which was also leading into a holiday weekend). We highly recommend Hurley Elder Care Law!

It's impossible to accurately describe the lost feeling of realizing you need power of attorney, updated will and general guidance all of a sudden when dealing with a parent with dementia. Those who have done it know, and those who have not cannot accurately picture it. After my mother was hospitalized and we had to travel from California to tend to her, we quickly realized we needed help not only with her specific physical issues but with her accelerating dementia. We found Hurley by chance, just doing searches, and they accommodated our urgency to get us what we needed within a few days. Since, their guidance has been the most valuable piece of our ability to attack my mother's care and support from afar. I wouldn't attempt to do this without help, and in retrospect, I can't think of a single thing Hurley could have done better or differently that would have made anything better or easier. Their responsiveness has been superb, their work flawless and their advice kind, compassionate and professional. I'll forever know that their guidance prevented us from making many bad decisions, all of which would have made it worse for the one person we're focused on - my mother. I didn’t know what to do about her assets since she would be staying at the nursing home indefinitely. Hurley Elder Care Law went to work for my Mother and navigated all of the Government red tape and got her approved for Medicaid in short order. Went in to looking for long term care for my Father-in-Law right at the beginning of the Pandemic. Sadly, even though looking better he past shortly after. Team quickly changed from helping us with long term care to helping us with handling his passing. The team was swift with change of course and helped us greatly, especially since many needed government offices were closed, understaffed, overwhelmed or a combination due to said pandemic. Lawyers and staff were very professional and personable. (Roll Tide!)
