I called looking for help for a probation violation and we live out of state. DM I received excellent consul, advice, and representation from Phil Pilgrim after being wrongfully charged and Incarcerated for DUI by a arrogant, poorly mannered Hall County Sheriff. I was stopped at 5:45 am for crossing the yellow line in the city of Gainesville. Accused of DUI, I voluntarily asked for an onsite breath test which was declined twice. Taken to Hall County Jail, in handcuffs, I requested blood test analysis. Blood Tests were reported by the GBI lab almost 8 months later as TOTALLY NEGATIVE. NEGATIVE for alcohol, controlled substances, and "STREET DRUGS". Actually NEGATIVE for anything except a prescription medication I had been on for 30 years. I had outside, blood drawn almost immediately, after posting bail 7 hours after being jailed, for comprehensive analysis. Results reported 48 hours later were absolutely NEGATIVE , and would mirror the GBI Lab results, who as noted, posted their results 8 months later. Eight months later despite NO EVIDENCE from BLOOD or BODY CAM recording, an assistant DA offered Phil Pilgrim a " reduced charge " of reckless driving for my crossing the yellow line while traveling at 30 mph. Through previous discussion with Phil, we declined this. IMO this absurd offer by a DA represented an individual, who needed help in understanding what the word NEGATIVE in a lab report meant. A person who after psychiatric care to evaluate their mental illness, might improve their insight and awareness, after spending time in the less than stellar jail cell I sat in for 7 hours. An individual who might realize that trying to convict an innocent person with NO evidence is wrong. A Individual who should take their amoral values out of the HALL County DA's office. Eventually, Phil Pilgrim had the charges of crossing the yellow line and DUI against me dismissed, almost ten months after I was wrongfully charged. Phil Pilgrim explained to me in great detail after the dismissal, why constitutional rights protected the Sheriff, who arrested me, from my pursuing damages against that Individual and Hall county. With this information being comprehensive and logical, I was able to understand my limitations in seeking damages. It did not however remove the ill feelings I have towards this Sheriff and the lack of ethical guidelines the Hall County Sheriffs Department apparently operates under. Subsequently several long time Hall County residents, have relayed a saying that is well known to residents and goes something like this.... " COME TO HALL COUNTY FOR VACATION...... LEAVE ON PROBATION ! " I would welcome Phil Representing me again. That said I try to use UBER while traveling in Hall County. DM

I hired Eric Tatum for my custody case, which by far wasn’t an easy one. Both my kids were taken from me unfairly and Eric took on the case. Eric and his paralegal Beth were very responsive to all my inquiries and never made any promises. They were honest and open about what could or could not happen. My case hit a stop when the pandemic hit but Eric never stopped working. He was able to get an emergency zoom hearing during covid to get me visitation to see my two children. And continued to work until the case was resolved in a manner that was acceptable. Although not cheap- you get what you pay for and I would highly recommend this office for your legal needs.

Phil not only helped me through the process for my case, he even dug into the specific law that was being used and came up with a plan for using the wording specific to my case. Amy was highly suggested by a close friend. Once meeting and speaking with Amy, I truly understood why she was suggested! She dove in head first to my divorce which we knew was going to be a lot to deal with.
