I was facing serious Article 120 allegations. My military council did the best he could to help me, but after being offered an NJP Article 15 and potentially losing my career over this I went home that day and started looking for a civilian lawyer. I contacted Capovilla & Williams late at night, almost midnight. I filled out the online form thinking someone would reach out to me the next day. The government took a year and a half of my life, at the Discharge Board, the government would not grant our request for a date Mr. Simon would be available. Thankfully, Mr. Dan Higgins, also from Capovilla and WIlliams, was available. He familiarized himself with my case in weeks. The day of the Discharge Board came, watching Mr. Higgins delivering the opening statement, cross examining the government's witnesses, and delivering the closing statement, was nothing short of inspiring and amazing. I was cleared of the previous charges that wrongfully stripped me of my rank, and threatened my retirement and benefits after two decades of service. Thanks to Capovilla & Williams, Brad Simon, and Dan Higgins, I will be retiring in 3 months. My family and I are beyond grateful.
