My husband paid off his collections account in 2012 and despite numerous calls to this agency (when they assured us that it was closed and reporting as such) it is still being reported as open in 2015.

I gave them an ok rating because they were very polite when it came time to give them a payment. it wasn't their fault a crooked dr tried to scam me out of 400 dollars

IF YOU GET SUED BY THEM - DO FILE A RESPONSE! I just had to go rounds with them, on a bill that not only was I paying, but was set up automatically to be paid. They arbitrarily decided to not take my payments, after doing it for 14 months consecutively. They never contacted me at all, and said they did in the noticed I was served. When I contacted them to resolve this matter, they wanted me to pay attorney fees simply because they decided that they weren't taking my payments for NO GIVEN REASONS. When I showed up for the first hearing, it was a HUGE joke, these "lawyers" had no case, just the litigation notice, and then tried to get me to settle for MORE than I owed. I said NO, considering I have proof of an on-going automated transaction and proof my funds were not insufficient at any time! It's a hassle, and they suck, so bottom line, don't settle for anything less than what is correct. FIGHT!

As a business owner, I have been very pleased with how CBI has been able to collect on delinquent accounts.
