terrible attitude very disrespectful and poor communication

He gave me free advice by spending 45 minutes over the phone. Truly a good human being! He seems genuinely trustworthy and capable attorney.

I found Peggy after googling and reading about 100+ reviews. She was very helpful in making everything very straightforward and simple. Many times I wanted to put super specific language in there to address potential fears of mine but 99% of the time, they were items that weren't enforceable, were already covered by law, or were things she encouraged I keep a more open mind about. She spends a ton of time in the courtroom, is familiar with all the Cook County judges, and has decades of experience so I appreciated how black and white she made things. Peggy is very direct and concise. In our initial interview, she cut me off a time or two because I was apparently talking more than listening. At first, I was turned off by it (even though it was true lol) but I immediately saw it as an advantage with opposing counsel and I was 100% correct about that. If you're a person who likes control or is long-winded and isn't used to constructive feedback, consider this an opportunity to work on that because I actually quickly grew out of the experience. She has only 100% of your best interest at heart and I could tell that during the interview. She was also very personable, and I really appreciated how well she could relate to my situation. We had several really good discussions not only as attorney/client but also as single parents; she's further ahead in this process than me and really opened my eyes in a few areas (*cough* giving them mobile phones when they get older *cough*). As a techie, I was looking for more digital redlining, PDF editing etc but we did most everything via email modifications. It ended up being ok and made it super easy for me to search for emails with any changes that were made. She's always available via text but please don't misuse that or else she'd never have time to get things done; she (or her paralegal) is super responsive via email as well. Cost-wise, pay the flat fee upfront and you will save $10K minimum easily and my situation was pretty straightforward and easy in comparison to most people. I had a great experience and outcome in my divorce proceedings and would recommend Peggy to handle things.

Peggy was amazing throughout the entire time she was my lawyer. I switched to her after researching and seeing all the positive reviews and after my previous lawyer would take days to weeks to even respond. Peggy always responded promptly and same day. She even went so far as to message me that she was in court and gave me a time where she would respond to my message so as to not keep me anxiously waiting. She was always incredibly kind. Her vast knowledge and experience were extremely helpful in my time of need. She helped me to feel secure and confident during the divorce and subsequent conflicts with my ex. I would highly recommend Peggy to anyone looking for a high quality lawyer. I was at the end of the line, so deep in debt, there was no way out for me, so I decided to give Sam a call. He was very clear from the beginning about the steps to follow in order to present my case. We did fill out the paperwork, and at the court, it was all over under 6 minutes. Fantastic, I would highly recommend to give Sam a call if you are in financial trouble and are in need of bankruptcy advise. Sam is the best Attorney to go to regarding bankruptcy, I know him for over 15 years.

Peggy it's very informative and caring. She was able to get me more time with my son and guide us on a sensitive matter. I recommend her to everyone.

I am ashamed to say that originally Peggy was not my first phone call when searching for a lawyer. I was notified of a pending emergency child custody court date literally a week before, and was in a major rush to find a lawyer in time. Everyone I called kept beating around the bush, wanting a consultation fee, or even told me that I wasn't important enough for them to take my case. Not Peggy. I called Peggy, expecting an answering machine or an assistant, but I got her direct line. She picked up and we started chatting and she was able to take my case and get all caught up within a few days - and all for a flat rate! I have been so thankful to have her on my side. She is knowledgeable about family law, knowledgeable about child custody cases and Guardian Ad Litems, and will fight like hell for you in court. She is always available for questions - and I mean ALWAYS! Even if I send an email to her giving information or asking a question, she gets back to me immediately, and it is something that is greatly appreciated. She doesn't sugar coat or tell you what you think you want to hear, she tells you how it is. Peggy is one of those people who you want to have on your side because she doesn't back down. She is not afraid of opposing lawyers or judges and she will be your biggest supporter even outside the case. I am fully aware that Peggy has many other clients, but she never makes you feel like a burden. She takes your case personally and treats you like you and your family matters. She is the best advocate you could ask for, and at a rate that is affordable.

She is always available and will do whatever it takes to ensure your case is treated with the care it needs. Also, her assistant, Ginger, is amazing. I feel so lucky to have found Peggy to represent me. If you are looking for someone who sees you as a person instead of a dollar sign, look no further.

Going through a very expensive divorce that lasted almost 2 years I was very unhappy and had little faith in attorneys. I have 3 children who at the time were 5,4,1 and was the most stressful time of my life and needed someone in my corner. I would hear from my attorney maybe once every couple months and not get emails returned, just the huge bills. Fast forward a couple years and some things came up with their mother and I needed to pursue full custody. I was terrified to lawyer shop again. I was browsing the internet on a Sunday morning and found peggy with 100 5 star reviews which was the best I found. I called and left a message asking if it was indeed a real person. She called me back ON A SUNDAY and we chatted. She was mad at me at first for not calling sooner. I mean this in a good way. She is very blunt and will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear, no sugar coating. Something I really appreciated. She had a flat rate for the emergency custody case which covered my whole case(over a year and a half in total) and a few more orders I feel were not really supposed to be included. Within a few weeks my kids were with me full time, I now have full custody and can still keep the lights on😆. I saved her best quality for last so hopefully you hung in there....she is ALWAYS available and responds almost immediately. This is so important when you're stressed out. I can't count how many times I had a question and would specifically note "no rush" or "when you're free" . I would still get a phone call or text(yes, from her cell phone) right away. To me it's hard to put a price tag on that, but there was, and it was very reasonable. I really hope to not need Peggy again but if I do I'll feel I'm in good hands. I would also like to give an honorable mention/shout out(use the term that reflects your age😉) to her paralegal Ginger, she is on top of her game and it's obvious her and Peggy use the same playbook when it come to communication and promptness.
