Mr. von Hoffmann handled a difficult divorce for me. There were several complex issues involved and since I wanted custody of my children (I am the father) I knew it would be an uphill battle. Mr. von Hoffmann was able to not only get the results that I wanted, but he exceeded my expectations and secured for me several concessions that I did not believe I could get.

This lawyer helped with an adoption that I had started to do pro se, I was having a difficult time with the situation as per judges orders the staff attorneys would not advise me on the policies and or procedures. He took over my case and we were able to get the whole situation straight. He is very smart and pays meticulous attention to the details of the case. I came to Jeff to figure out and clean up a custody mess that I was involved in. Jeff worked through over a year's worth of junk in a timely and professional way then delivered a workable solution. Along the way he counseled me and really took the time to listen to my concerns while also answering a lot of my previously unanswered questions that I had accrued throughout my custody action. In the end Jeff helped me understand the system better. Ultimately Jeff helped me change my mindset so that I was able to move forward with the process for my daughter's sake. Angelina provided excellent counsel during my divorce proceedings. She discussed and reviewed all of my options in great detail, which was especially important to me regarding placement of my children. I especially apprecaited that she presented all options, with the pros and cons and likelyhood of success, without leading in me in one direction or another. I appreciated having the information to make the decision instead of having it made for me. It left me with the confidence that I chose the best available path forward.
In writing the agreement, she anticipated a number of areas that needed to be covered in the agreement that later proved to be critical.
In addition, her billing was very fair and accurate. Although I was the plaintiff and she did most of the work (initial complaint, wrote entire agreement and entered the order) her bill was smaller than my ex-wife's attorney's bill, which represented only a fraction of the effort of Angelina's work.
Lastly, going through a divorce, especially with small children involved, can be very emotional. She dealt well with my occasional emotion state by acknowledging my concerns and then calmly discussing the path forward.

My case is not over yet but when Chad came to a hearing with me, he was incredible. Nothing the prosecutor said caught him by surprise, and everything the prosecutor said, Chad had a rebuttal. In court, Chad is calm, he is not intimidated by anything, and he has a response ready no matter what.

I can't give my name or details of my case because it is still in progress. However, Chad is the only lawyer I spoke to at the beginning who said he would fight the case and go for a not guilty verdict. Thus far he has done everything exactly as he said he would and he keeps his clients informed throughout every step of the procedure. He is extremely thorough and he treats all of his clients with dignity and respect. There is no way to guarantee what a jury will do and Chad will tell you exactly that, but he will give you the best defense possible. I have complete confidence in his abilities and would recommend him to anyone who has been accused of something.

Ms. Baldwin is an excellent attorney with a heart for every client and a desire to execute the law with complete dedication and desire to provide informed representation in all cases. She professionally represented our son and was completely responsive and trustworthy with him after he required legal assistance more than once. I am very suspicious of a negative review. I am offended by a set of statements made by a sister from NY when Ms. Baldwin practices in SC. I am equally suspicious of proof less statements of monetary compensation issues when she is not the client and is legally prohibited from the actual hiring of an attorney by a third party. I would immediately disregard this set of review statements. I would give Ms. Baldwin 10 stars if it were permitted and I will be a reference at any time.

In November, 2013, I first met Andrea regarding my unborn son. My ex decided to cut all contact from me and not let me know anything about the pregnancy. Andrea sent my ex a few letters that my ex ignored. Eventually my son was born in January of 2014. I was not notified. I missed the birth of my own child and the first 4 months of his life because as soon as my ex got the 'okay' from her doctor she left the state. As soon as my ex contacted me asking if I wanted to meet our son, Andrea was on the ball making sure we served her while she was in the state of Nebraska. Of course, the first few court dates the judge granted that jurisdiction be in the state my ex said she was living in. The judge didn't look at all the facts either. (Was not really living in said state at all. Just making it seem like it.) Andrea asked for a re-hearing after the first hearing. Same result from the same judge. We then filed an appeal with the State of Nebraska. In the meantime things had changed and my son had been in Nebraska for an extended period of time so Andrea recommended having her served again. We did, got a different judge who saw what was being done and looked at all the facts. I was able to get some parenting time and overnights in November, 2015. (My case was complicated with jurisdiction which is why this all took as long as it did.) We got a new court date for March, 2016. We were scheduled to have trial. Before we made it to trial, we had depositions with my ex and her attorney. During depositions, Andrea was prepared, on the ball, and adamant to get me what I deserved as a father. My ex's true colors showed along with all the facts. Andrea did such an awesome job, we didn't even make it to trial. My ex agreed to me having 50/50 JOINT & PHYSICAL custody within that week.
Andrea is passionate about what she does and showed compassion during the whole process. Andrea never made me feel like I was just another client. She truly cared about the best interests for me & my son.
After our first hearing I remember and will never forget sitting in the courthouse with my family when Andrea came out & told us that the judge denied Nebraska having jurisdiction. I was so confused/mad/sad, I instantly started crying. Andrea cried with me, hugged me, and told me what we were going to do next. That day showed me that Andrea genuinely cared about me and my situation. Her staff is helpful, always on the ball with returning messages, and just as awesome as Andrea.
If anyone ever tells me they need a good attorney, I'm sending them to Andrea. She is truly the best!! I was blessed to meet her and thank God everyday I did.
