Excessively expensive for subpar customer service, no eagerness to be kind or accommodating. Lack of affordable options when no rush involved. Treated like a bother after spending close to $100 to pack and send two medium sized packages that weighed next to nothing.

Greedy and poor customer service. I recently had a package that required signature for delivery and was out of country. After working with someone at the UPS hub that was very helpful we arranged to have it delivered to a store. I opted for the store nearest me that I have spent considerable money with over the years for all my shipping needs. Upon arriving to pickup package they clerk was not able to locate my package. Candidly the attitude was not useful or like cared to find it. I showed tracking and signature name confirming and finally another clerk came and pointed straight to it. There was a sloppy label slapped on it that required me to pay $10 for the “service provided”. I was not happy as I was not informed about their being a charge for this. I would have had it sent to my office or even back to my house if given the choice. The manager, Kurtis, came out to deal with me and just repeated over and over the charge is because they were not an access point and this is the fee. Candidly it’s like being at a restaurant and ordering something that should be free and then getting bill for it. It’s greedy and dishonest. There was no consideration that this service fee is outrageous. Perhaps if I knew about it from previous instances and was abusing but this isn’t a situation that has ever happened before. 1. The service provided constitutes literally putting the package on a shelf. They didn’t log it in to keep organized of where it is evident by the individual not finding it without help. They didn’t call to inform me it was available for pickup. They wouldn’t have even carried it from the truck. The fee is ridiculous 2. I don’t appreciate being spoken too like I’m not understanding and repeating the same thing. I’m not stupid. I’m upset and incredulous that the disconnect within your own company that I would be charged for this is unacceptable. 3. I was not given an option to choose to pay for this apparent service. It’s a definite shame because I will never ship or frequent this store or likely even UPS ever. They are more expensive than any other service but good customer service is what kept my business. This shows a serious lack in thoughtful judgement. I know my business won’t impact UPS overall but with holidays I will choose other companies as well as share this as often as possible to encourage others to take their business elsewhere.
