A dear friend served 45 years of a life sentence (2/3 of his life) for a crime that he likely did not commit. I know that sounds typical of what guys in prison say, but it was a murky case. The victim's family had connections with the parole board, so my friend was turned down every time there was a parole hearing. He also reached out to organizations that assist those who are wrongly convicted; however, since there was no DNA (or any other) evidence (murky case), they were unable to help. Finally, my friend made contact with Brown Law. Justin Brown's team stuck with my friend, believed in him, and secured his release on April 15, 2024. Not one of us ever thought the day would come, but it did. All of us will be forever grateful to Brown Law for changing this guy's life--and the lives of those who love and care about him. Justin and his son were there to greet him when he walked out of the prison. I think that act speaks volumes.
