Efficient. No time is wasted getting to the facts and resolution. She also asks what outcome you want, given that there is usually room for interpretation and more than one option and give you her perspective on the likelihood of achieving that outcome. A great resource to have on retainer, just in case.

I called in to explain a particularly egregious landlord retaliation issue and the intake person cared not to listen to understand. Instead they listened to respond and interrupted my explanation to ask questions that would be answered if they just listened. As it is now I would not use Lusk Law until they get someone to do intake that cares about your problems.

Our experience with Rebekah and her team was exceptional. Dealing with a legal matter isn't something I ever wanted to do, and I imagine this could have been much more anxiety-inducing. We worked with Lusk Law to help us navigate making a claim against the MHIC Guaranty Fund. This is a very niche area of law and I was fortunate enough that a Google search connected me to this law firm. Rebekah, Steven and Louisa were nothing but responsive, professional and helpful throughout our time working with them. Making a claim against the Guaranty Fund is an option available to homeowners to get reimbursed for loss caused by a MHIC licensed contractor who performed incorrect/incomplete home improvement work. Contractors are required to pay into the fund as part of the licensing process. If a claim is made against the fund based on a contractor's work and the homeowner wins, the contractor is required to pay the fund back for the amount awarded to the homeowner. His or her license is suspended until he or she repays the fund. We consulted with Rebekah before the initial administrative hearing and she gave us sound, straight forward advice about how to approach the hearing. The judge ended up ruling in our favor and awarded us reimbursement from the Guaranty Fund. It wasn't for our total loss but it was significant. As we expected, our contractor took exception to the decision. When this happened, we hired Lusk Law to handle the exceptions hearing. We were fortunate enough to be able to work with Steven Bright who was a contractor himself so he really understood our case and the MHIC Guaranty Fund process. We felt that the firm was mindful about our costs and only did the work and made the communications that were absolutely necessary which helped reduce our costs. This was particularly important to us after having experienced a major financial loss due to the incorrect work of our contractor. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone needing legal help.
