Without reservation, I highly recommend Stouffer Legal for estate planning. I first worked with Melissa, and she is very knowledgeable and offered extremely clear guidance through the entire process. She always had time to answer questions and skillfully guide me as things progressed. Later I worked with Colin and he was just as helpful. He clearly explained things and helped me make decisions after all options were presented. Everyone I have dealt with at their office has been very professional and helpful. I can't say enough good things about Stouffer Legal.

After hesitating beginning the estate planning process, we were so glad we did. Melissa Paddy at Stouffer legal guided us through the process with ease. She explained every step, answered all of our questions and made the process of estate planning very easy. We feel at peace knowing all of our “ducks are in a row”.

Stouffer Legal assisted me in the settlement of my cousins estate. It was a complicate estate due to many accounts and properties needing to be addressed. They guided me through every step and provided the support, tools, and representation with courts, accountants, banks, and beneficiaries to full settle her estate. Truly a fine professional group to partner with. While going through this process I realized the importance of estate planning and requested them to help me guide me in establishing a plan for my estate, as average as it might be. I was amazed at how easy they made the complicated process of estate planning so easy understand and implement. I continue to work with them annually to keep my estate documents current. Many of my friends tell me that they or their parents and family members have a will in place to take care of their love ones when they pass. Having gone through this process, a will does not and will not protect your estate or your heirs I highly recommend Stouffer Legal

The Stouffer Legal team was extremely helpful and always very responsive to my many questions and concerns throughout the estate planning process. They were very professional and took the time to explain all of the many legal terms to ensure that I understood the documents and was comfortable before signing anything. I never felt pressured or rushed. It was a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking an attorney for estate planning.

We met with Alex Housley at Stouffer Legal. The meeting began with him asking questions to gather a rough estimate of our assets, where they are located, and a list of all “heirs”. We then completed a questionnaire to assess what services we needed. Next, we were shown three options/levels of estate planning services, and looking back at the questionnaire, we agreed that we needed level three services. He then told us that their services would cost $11,000 and that we needed to pay 5,000 before leaving the office to secure the services and further meetings. We asked for a couple of days to digest the information and speak with our children before paying the deposit and moving forward. This was not an option. We had to pay the $ 5,000 deposit ( which was refundable) on the spot or forfeit the services completely; he explained further that he takes 6 meetings a day and there were no circumstances under which we could return to the firm for services. We left disappointed but thankful to have glimpsed this practice before contracting Stouffer Legal Services. I asked for the paper with all of our financials on it but he refused to return it.

I had a similar experience as Bonita. The attorney -Alex- assumed I was ignorant and the “free” consultation was used - in my opinion- to capitalize on and create an atmosphere of uncertainty and vulnerability (on my part). We were hit with high pressure tactics at every turn and none of my questions were answered definitively. And get this — we were quoted more than $13,000 — though we were told the cost is not based on the size of the estate and directed to the same plan as Bonita. That was MORE than probate would cost— which I stated was my primary objective. My recommendation— RUN AWAY!! Interview several estate planning firms. Ultimately we paid a SIGNIFICANTLY lesser amount of what Stouffer Legal quoted us and received more protection and true legal guidance to assist in making good estate and trust decisions!

I am very disappointed with the Stoffer Legal group. A simple Power of Attorney has taken almost a month and still no paperwork. I started this on October 9th and I'm still waiting. I have called 4 times now and that has resulted in nothing, not even a call back. They certainly did not have a problem collecting my money quickly. Unfortunately for them I will not be recommending them to any of my family or friends nor will I ever deal with them again. I am about to lose a contract on the sale of a home because of Stoffer Legal and their inability to process a Power of Attorney promptly.

STOUFFER LEAGAL IS THE PLACE MY GRANDMA CHOSE TO HAVE HER AFFAIRS IN ORDER AFTER HER DEATH WITH THE IMPRESSION THAT HER GRANDCHILDREN WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF WITH THE UPMOST RESPECT. ME AND FOUR OTHER SIBLINGS ARE DUE A INHERITANCE AFTER TWO YEARS THE ESTATE IS FINALLY CLOSED. The communication between. Us and the ones handling the case is very poor . WE ATE ALWAYS TOLD SHES IN A MEETING AND WILL GEY BACK TO US BUT SHE NEVER DO NONE OF OUR QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED WHEN WE CALL AND WE NEVER RECEIVE A CALL BACK . We have been waiting on our letters for some time now after being told they was already sent out . I don’t understand why they won’t communicate properly with us regarding this matter .
