If you have been arrested for OUI, the last thing you should ever do is to try to handle the situation yourself. You NEED an experienced attorney to handle your case and attorneys Joseph Waldbaum and James Dunn are the attorneys for the job. If you think that you know the law, you don't. OUI laws are complex and sometimes very confusing and only an experienced attorney can navigate that ocean of legalities. If you have been arrested for OUI like I was, you NEED to call Joe. Joe is a no nonsense attorney. He does not lie or exaggerate your chances of winning. What he does do is to tell you the exact truth and does NOT try to fill you with false securities like some other attorneys do. If an attorney tells you that they can absolutely win your case, do not waste your time with them...call Joe. Joe has fair rates for your case and is the only attorney that I know of that has a payment plan that will not make you feel as though you are being raked over the coals. Attorney Waldbaum understands that you are anxious and concerned about your future and he does everything in his power to reassure you without being falsely over optimistic. The first thing Joe will tell you is that there are no guarantees. He reviews your case and tells you the good and the bad. I was arrested for OUI 2nd offense, Speeding, Marked Lane Violation, and Negligent Operation of a Vehicle. Attorney Waldbaum reviewed my case, told me exactly what I did right and what I did wrong. I cannot say enough great things about Mr. Waldbaum. I unfortunately made a poor choice to drink and drive while on a contract in Massachusetts. Due to not being a resident, it was important to me to get the date pushed back closer to the end of my contract. Mr. Waldbaum was able to do so, and provided helpful tips and advice about how to get around Massachusetts while not being able to drive as well as ways in which to obtain groceries and other tasks while carless. Fast forward to almost 1.5 years later, the probation officer sent a summons for me to appear Monday after Thanksgiving. I emailed Mr. Waldbaum and he happily obliged to take my case for the probation hearing even though he only had 2-3 days to collect all information to present before the court. I also personally spoke with my probation officer about the ability to not attend due to living over 16hrs away over a situation that I felt was mishandled and having to work. She absolutely would not budge. Mr. Waldbaum called and dealt with the probation officer and made it where I did not have to appear and navigate through holiday traffic- all without being asked.
