About 15 years ago my attorney for many years dropped his private practice to work for a Federal Judge. I wandered in the wilderness for most of time since and about two weeks ago I had something come up where I really needed good, competent legal assistance. I have known Mike Moyers since he was a Chancellor on the bench for 20 years. I appeared in his Court for many years. He was compassionate about his work as a Judge.
Recently, he decided to retire as Chancellor and move to practicing law again. He wants to help people and use his expertise to help those people struggling and need help. He is an asset to our legal community. He is genuinely a kind person and very intelligent. In my life there are few people that I consider to be "real" and he is one of the few. To be perfectly clear I do not think that there is a smarter more effective litigator in the country. He has not represented me and won in federal court litigations, but also large scale arbs, and achieved results in both, as well as mediations, that well exceeded my wildest expectations. Lily is experienced, professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, fearless, and honest. She was the second divorce attorney I hired: the first one did not know how to handle a high conflict divorce, but Lily was quick to understand the situation, and fought for me, to achieve the best possible outcome in a bad situation. I was truly afraid of my ex spouse, who could be extremely spiteful, and Lily helped me to feel safe. I appreciated that she did not employ dirty tactics or lies, which the other party did, but was still an able, calm yet fierce advocate for me and for the interests of my children. She knows the laws and the courts very well. I could count on her to give me her honest assessment of the situation and possible/probable scenarios, to fight for me where it made sense to fight, but also to help to bring us to a workable agreement whenever the opportunity arose. She advocated so that I could make choices that I could live with: I wanted to keep my house, and she helped me to do that, even when the other party wanted to force me to sell it. However, she did encourage me to think about all of the options that were available to me before making my decisions. She was kind, patient, and encouraging when I felt that I could not tolerate the stress of the divorce. I just finished with more than a year long divorce "saga". Thanks to Lily, we were able to avoid a trial and the case was settled on quite reasonable terms.
When my now ex- filed for divorce, I interviewed 3 lawyers and did not feel comfortable. A friend of a friend of mine recommended Lily, and after we first met I was quite confident that I can trust her. Step after step after step, thanks to Lily, we were getting into more and more advantageous position.
Lily is a pleasure to deal with; she is easily accessible (you don't need to go through layers of secretaries, assistants to ask a question) , personable, very experienced, has a great intuition and great sense of humor.
Divorce is terrible situation, but if you get a lawyer that you are comfortable with, it makes things much easier.

Being a businesswoman is difficult enough and I've dealt with a number of attorneys as my business requires a lot of contract review and negotiation. I've been treated like a know-nothing, put off and ignored. Another client of Mr. Zavarella's introduced me to him. Here is a lawyer who is a FRIEND! Calls are returned promptly, he knows me and my business. Before we started he suggested that he come to my business and see what I do, asked me and my employees about the business. One afternoon I was sort of nervous about a meeting with one of my businesses larger clients and he even gave me his home phone "in case we had to count sheep together so you get some sleep"! The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's office filed appeal on my case. I had difficulty finding somebody willing to "take on" the prosecutor. I met Gino Zavarella and he didn't hand me off to a secretary or paralegal or inexperienced lawyer. I spent a lot of time with him (and expected my fees to be much, much more than they were and than others had quoted). He's the kind of guy - a regular guy - you can sit down and have a coffee or beer with and hears what you're saying. Not only was he willing to take on the County Prosecutor but I WAS 100% POSITIVE that we had WON THE CASE when we left the courtroom. The end result = 100% Win!

David Macpherson is the MOST honest and competent attorney I've ever met (and I've met and worked with several in the past three years due to a civil case I've been dealing with).

A year ago my mother-in-law passed away and we had difficulty with providing proper documentation to the life insurance companies which was prepared by an attorney no longer practicing. Although, not in his field of practice, Mr. Day took the time to help us get the correct paperwork filed to expedite the process. He did not charge for his time.
I have not had the misfortune to need Mr. Day's personal injury expertise but have worked with individuals whom he has helped. He is not only knowledgeable of the law but is personable, caring and has the biggest heart I know. His skills as a mediator has resolved many cases without going to court.

Mr. Mankin aided us during a square footage dispute several years ago. We bought a business and the square footage was not as much as advertised. Even though we had removed our "due diligence" contingencies in the contract and were on the hook for $25,000 in liquidated damages, Mr. Mankin was able to back us up and resolve the dispute favorable.
