I reached out to John Buckert with my invention idea. He called me back the same day I submitted the form on the firm's website and gave me a lot of good initial information on the process. I filled out the provided forms about my invention and we scheduled a call, very soon after I submitted the forms, to discuss my idea. Although it turns out that my own invention may not be patentable, I found the information that he gave me extremely valuable. He gave me his estimate at the chances I could obtain a utility patent and he didn't recommend pursuing it further because there was a high risk I may not be able to obtain a patent. Another firm could have easily recommended going for it anyway, despite the huge risk, to make some attorneys fees. He didn't do this, and I really respect him for that. He clearly wanted me to have an optimal outcome and I trust him for having my best interests at heart. He will be my first call when I come up with a better idea! I have never pursued the idea of an invention before and he was great to work with.
