Hired Steven in January of 2005 for a divorce that started out of state (Wisconsin) but was transferred to Michigan. To make matters even more complex the case was then transferred to another county 70 miles away. Steven always worked in the best interest of the children, at times reminding me to get beyond my selfish anger and frustration, and by September of 2005 a fair and equitable Judgement of Divorce was entered granting joint legal and physical custody and 50/50 parenting time. But that turned out to be just the beginning. Over the past 11 years Steven has defended 13 motions for custody, 4 Friend of the court investigations, 2 child custody hearings, and multiple baseless accusations that never made it into a courtroom. All initiated by the other side. In each new court action, Steven had to travel up to my area and deal with a new attorney; I believe there were 6 or 7 in all. Each time Steven would work diligently to try to find an amicable solution, and every time he was successful. The end result was that Steven was able to do exactly what he promised in the beginning. To ensure that the children's best interests remain the priority. I have had sole legal and physical custody of the children since 2009. I sometimes look back and wonder why Steven would have ever kept me on as a client given all the effort he had to put into the case. Each day I thank the Lord for having Steven on my side through all of this and I know that I am a better person for knowing him. I would absolutely recommend Steven to anyone looking for to find a truly exceptional, compassionate, and dedicated attorney with a proven track record for doing the right thing for the right reasons.

Divorce is never easy, but mine was both emotionally taxing and financially bankrupting. It is hard to sort out if it might have been far worse had I gone with a different attorney. Mr. Reinheimer mitigated a lot of very acrimonious situations fueled by an opposing party who was hell-bent on punishing me for daring to want to stop being married to him. Communication between Mr. Reinheimer and opposing counsel was minimal in the early months of proceedings, which delayed any sort of negotiation and pushed us into both mediation and arbitration. Again it is hard to sort out whether this could have been done differently, as it could very well have been driven by opposing counsel dragging the process out as long as possible. In the end, I felt my case was prioritized, and as problems arose, they were addressed in a timely manner. A 14-month divorce process proved excessively expensive, but again, I don't see how it might have been done any differently, given a lack of control of the process on Mr. Reinheimer's end.

Steve was terrific. Was thorough and compassionate. A bonus to me was his wicked sense of humor. Helped me through some tough times. Would highly recommend!
