If you’re looking for an efficient and professional lawyer, Brian Garmo is the one for you… When my family first contacted Brian it was about three weeks from my court date and we were extremely worried about our situation. I was facing a misdemeanor charge for my fake ID after it was mistakenly given to a police officer when I was in a car accident. Along with the misdemeanor, I also had two traffic tickets, that could’ve resulted in me having to restart my provisional license. Brian was very honest about potential outcomes, and discussed worst case scenario situations. It’s also important to note how knowledgeable he is about the law, and the court process, as he was extremely educated and answered all of our questions immediately over the phone. He also is fantastic at answering his emails, unlike other lawyers Brian responded to questions even after typical office hours within minutes. At my court date, Brian showed up very well prepared, and already knew the outcome of the case before it had begun in the courtroom. He was able to make a deal with the prosecutor and completely dismiss my misdemeanor charge, along with one of my traffic violations, and reduce the other violation to a civil infraction and a very small fee. In the end, I only paid $135 for violations I easily could’ve paid $2k+ for without Brian. Every penny you spend to pay for Brian is one less penny you’ll have to spend in legal fees and potential record damaging charges. I can not speak highly enough of Brian and my experience with him!

Attorney Steenkiste is the man. He took on my name change case, and got it done in about 2 months time. If I had done it solo, I'd probably have made a mistake which cost me about a year. I highly recommend him if you're transgender and overwhelmed by the name change process.

Hello Peeps, (100% True) Please spare aside two minutes to read my review. I promise, it would be worth reading for folks who will ever go through divorce related issues. I was a person who lost almost his whole life (immigration status, financial assets, family and a minor). Incident happened when I went overseas to visit my family. From there, I contacted more than one dozen Divorce+Criminal lawyers but no other lawyer treated me in a way as "Matt Van Steenkiste" and “Elyse Victor” did and deeply showed interest in my case. This was my first ever interaction with lawyers in US. I personally met with Matt and Elyse on the very first day I returned back to US and immediately hired him. My divorce case, PPOs, criminal investigation cases all ran in Wayne and Washtenaw county for almost two and half months and this man handled my case in a very professional manner. Matt and Elyse are great human beings I have ever met with. When not even a single person in US was with me, they were the guys who stood with me and helped me alot emotionally, morally, professionally in every aspect even though we were strangers and no one referred me to him. My cases ended at reconciliation for the sake of a minor. Matt did not charge me ridiculous amount of money as other lawyers do now a days. Highly recommend this law firm. Matt and his staff are top notch. I had a few collections problems and Matt handled them with dignity and without judgment and extremely professional. He was able to get me more than I expected in results. He is very knowledgeable and just cannot say enough about his firm. All the staff was extremely polite and courteous and great with communication. You never had to wonder where you are within the process as they always keeped you abreast of what has transpired. Cannot say enough about them. I wish I would found them back 2017 when this all first started
