Thomas is an excellent lawyer and so helpful. I used his services to file trademarks for my online business a few years ago. I recently spoke with him again about an issue regarding intellectual property for a book I wrote. He called me back right away, remembered many details about my job and business, and provided great advice on the situation. I look forward to using his services again for any future needs and would recommend him to any small business in need of trademark or intellectual property guidance.

Mr.Phung is amazing at what he does ! He was very professional with me as an attorney and very timely with responses something that was super helpful being that I am new to the whole process of trademarking ! Started an online business last year, for the sake of cost was initially looking to go with one of the online services. Didn’t feel comfortable going through the online application, as I am not a lawyer. Decided to give Johnson & Phung a call and had a consultation meeting with Thomas Phung. He was very straight forward and knowledgeable. Never felt like he was trying to sell me his services but felt he was truly there to help. He gave great advice which I believe led to ultimately saving money in the long run. Once I decided to move forward, he handled everything which was great. I didn’t have to try to be a trademark attorney. The hardest part was waiting for the application to process but it got approved!

I had filed a patent application with another patent law firm, who shall go nameless, and I kept getting refusals and kept pay that firm and their attorneys a bunch of money every few months to fight each refusal. I eventually decided to take my case elsewhere and came across Johnson and Phung during a google search and like the fact that they had good review. I met with Thomas Phung who reviewed my case free of charge and said that although my patent application that the other law firm wrote up was short and limited, that he felt that there were things that he could do to potentially make some headway in my case but nothing was guarenteed.

Thomas Phung is a brilliant attorney. He walked me through the process very thoroughly and gave me great advice. If quick respond time and quality work is something you are looking for in an attorney, look no further. I started with trademarking my social media app with Tom and now all my legal issues and concerns go through him and him only. Highly recommended!

I was in need of filing a patent on an idea that I had and after doing some research on line i still had some questions to ask. I called a couple of law firm and left messages and the only attorney that got back to me was Thomas of Johnson and Phung. Although his schedule was busy he was able to rearrange his schedule to get me in right away for the free initial meet and the thing that i like about him is that he was honest about what he can do for me and the options that were available and i felt like he wasn't pushy and didn't try and sell me on his services. After returning home to think about our meeting i did receive calls from 2 of the other patent places that i called and it wasn't from an attorney but their receptionist who both told me that their attorneys could "fit" me in 2-3 weeks. That was my last sign to go with Johnson and Phung and i couldn't be happier with their services and would recommend them to anyone that needs patent work done.

I have worked with other patent attorneys in the past and am so glad to have discover Thomas. Thomas and his firm are very knowledgeable attorneys and not only try and protect the invention that I want to patent but they also go beyond that to try and protect against peoplebwho might try to design arpund my invention. It was a pleasure to work with Thomas and I thank him for all the successful outcomes.

This firm is very honest and fair. I tried to do a trademark myself and it got rejected. Suddenly I was hounded by a bunch of lawyers saying they could fix it, I went to 3 of those places and one of them actually made it worse and charged me for it. A friend finally referred me to Thomas who told me that he could fix all the problems that the other me and all the other lawyers had done or reapply for the trademark at a fraction of the cost. None of the other attorneys told me that option, evidently to keep their fees high. Thomas got my trademark registered 6 months later without any denials. He is already working on my 3rd trademark. My experience has made me realize that not all attorneys are the same which is why I wanted to write this review to hopefully help others find the good ones.

I live in Hermantown and the only patent or trademark attorneys nearby are located 150 miles away in Minneapolis - St. Paul. And when searching for attorneys down there I had no idea which patent attorney to pick from and how much they charged. I did some research though googling and cold calling and the firm and attorney that impressed me the most was Thomas of Johnson and Phung. He called me back within 30 minutes after I left them a message on their contact us section of their website and only only kindly answered all the questions that I had but all of my follow-up questions several days later. He even said that I can email him questions during the weekend and he'll answer them. This was even before I became a client. I would highly recommend Thomas and his firm to anyone needing patens and trademark work done.

I had come up with a new product that I wanted to start a business with but did not know where to start. I did a bunch of research from legal zoom to the invention submission companies and they never provided me with the direction that I was looking for. Then someone who had worked with Thomas of this firm told me that I had to contact him and I can't thank that person enough because Thomas was easy to get a hold of and patiently explained all of the questions that I had such as helping me protect my new product and helping me with the product branding. From my experience I would fully recommend Thomas and his frm to anyone that starting a business or needs patent and trademark work done because it'll be the best decision that you'll make for you business.
