Shortly after receiving a “Traffic Law Violation” ticket, I learned that it carried an automatic 5 point penalty on my license if I pled guilty and mailed it in, as I initially planned to do. I was surprised and upset, knowing that it would be very expensive, particularly as my insurance rate would increase. I called one lawyer who didn’t ask me any questions about the incident. He quoted his rate and said that he was fairly confident he’d be able to get the points reduced to 2, but not likely to zero. I then called Mr. Wagman’s office based on his excellent reviews. I had a very positive experience beginning with that first phone call, speaking with Lauren, one of his assistants. Mr. Wagman got on the phone and took the time to ask me for some details and explained different aspects of my case. I appreciated that, especially as I hadn’t hired him yet. In fact, he was so easy to talk with, (as well as humorous), that I knew I would be hiring him. Mr. Wagman said that he would do his best to get the 5 points reduced to zero, (which was my dream!), though I would have been grateful and relieved with 2 points over 5. We discussed that NYS is tough on the violation I received; he didn’t make any promises. I was beyond thrilled when I received a personal phone call from Mr. Wagman telling me the great news that my 5 point violation was reduced to a zero point VTL parking violation! Besides the wonderful news, I was really impressed that Mr. Wagman took the time to call me himself. He could have easily asked one of his assistants to make the call. But that’s clearly the kind of lawyer - and person- he is. My case wasn’t a big case, relative to most, but I was treated as though it was just as important to him and his staff. I highly recommend James Wagman Attorney at Law for any traffic and criminal matters. He is a real class act.

Wow. I was given 2 Three point tickets last winter for a small accident I had with an electric pole. Well, he made both tickets and points dissapear essentially, and I ended up having to pay essentially a small parking ticket. James is humble and wont overpromise, but he certainly overdelivered. My first time using a ticket lawyer and in the unfortunate event that I ever receive an infraction again, I will not hesitate to use James Wagmans practice. Thanks All!
