David Okrent and his team of terrific professionals came to my rescue in helping me manage my mother's application for Medicaid. After my father passed, we set up a trust for my mother with David's counsel. We worked again with Okrent Law when it came time for my mother to apply for Medicaid. Susan Guido, the firm's Medicaid Liaison, is knowledgeable, thorough and professional, and she and David understand the daunting task that a family has to navigate to provide the necessary paperwork for a complete and detailed Medicaid application. With their assistance of locating all the required information, an application was filed that allowed Medicaid to quickly rule on my mother's case so that my family can rest easy knowing that her financial needs are taken care of in her nursing home situation. Years ago, David Okrent developed a plan for my mother's health care and financial security, protecting her assets and her dignity. He was very professional and compassionate. Everything went very smoothly for our family when she passed. When it became time for my spouse and I to consider our future, we asked David to develop the same plan for us. After experiencing the unknowns regarding a family member who passed away, we immediately began seeking the services of an attorney to record our wishes. In our search, we selected David Okrent, a well-respected elder care attorney, after attending one of his seminars. We met with Mr. Okrent to discuss our concerns and prepare the proper documents. At the time, it seemed overwhelming, but he guided us through the process with patience and clarity. We were able to work through some of the more difficult aspects and create a legal document package that we were comfortable with. Mr. Okrent and his staff made scheduling convenient and the planning experience less stressful; we left with a sense of satisfaction and relief. In addition to annual reviews, his office is readily accessible should unexpected changes occur which require immediate attention and/or change.

David Okrent handled our wills, health proxies and mostly importantly a Special Needs Trust for our daughter, who is disabled. David possess the rare combination of a wealth of knowledge, patience and the ability to communicate in terms a lay person can understand. In addition, he is always accessible . What a rare find! He did an outstanding job on all of our critical and complex legal documents and is always available to answer any questions. We highly recommend David !
