To Don Shouldice, his team, and everyone in need of help, My name is Sean Iannarone. My journey began years ago. It is the journey of life we all take, and it goes on, or it does not. Mine started at some point, debatable depending on your worldly views, long before my injury. The day of my injury is a crossroad that I will never forget. For some, right now is the beginning of that crossroad. For others, it may be weeks or months into your first steps beyond. I hope it has not been long, and please take these words to heart whether it has or hasn’t. Firstly, if this is day one, please call Polsky, Shouldice & Rosen immediately. The amount of damage that can be done to you beyond your injury in the first days is unimaginable. Secondly, I recommend building a solid support network. This process is ongoing, and doing it alone is inconceivable to me. There is an overwhelming amount of knowledge necessary. Don and his team took me in when I was in need. They aided me in building the missing pieces of an incomplete puzzle. Then they helped me put it back together, continue to be a rock, and saved my life in many respects. Even they did not do it alone. Thirdly, my point is simple. The number of moving parts in this journey is so vast that no one individual does anything alone. Some pieces cause more harm than good, and others heal. Polsky, Shouldice & Rosen heals. They're always there, forever with you, and always working for you. They help where help is needed.
