I called to receive information and look into my options of what I can do regarding custody. As of right now I know that I can’t go to court but I was trying to get ahead of the ball game and make sure I could have everything in order. The person on the phone was very rude, kept trying to talk over me, and wouldn’t listen.

Rachel Sholar helped me with getting primary custody of my child in less then a year. Very happy with her work and everything her and the firm has done. I highly recommend her to anyone regarding custody and divorce.

I hired Ms. Rachel Sholar for my separation which then became a divorce. I can’t say enough about her and her staff. Very kind, professional, always welcoming when I came to the office. Their rates are high, but you get what you pay for, fantastic representation. Miss Rachel for sure did not let me down and neither did the staff. Thank you all for everything!!! I will go back to them if I ever need them again.

I highly recommend Mr. McNamara for taking you though your legal process. He is highly knowledgeable and takes great care of his clients.

If you’re looking into an attorney for Onslow county you might want to look into other ones before going with Mrs. Lycans. She got me a (somewhat) reasonable order for child custody but after feeling cheated I got two second opinions about my specific situation and both told me that she could’ve done more for me. These other two opinions also had mentioned that Mrs. Lycans had given me incorrect information about moving forward with when my son starts school. I’m not sure if that was because she didn’t want me as a client anymore or what but I would definitely suggest a second option before hiring anyone from this office.

Sarah Lycons has been non response after our original in person consultation for over a month. No reply to emails or return calls. Also the receptionist have been friendly but have given empty promises of a call back and still I have heard nothing. Each time I call it is something different I am told.

I have paid this lawyer money to just get a simple DNA test scheduled and done for my daughter. But they are working more for my daughters mother(the opposing party) than they are for me. Every time you call these people they always say "I was just about to contact you" but you never hear anything from them unless you call or go to the office yourself first. I'm just trying to get my name on my daughter's birth certificate so I can get custody of my daughter but this law firm has me taken my situation more steps back tan they have forward. Every time my daughters mother calls in to their office they do EVERYTHING she wants them to do but has rarely did anything I asked them to do like they are working for her instead of me. If you have a child that is supposed to be getting visitation time with you and the other parent won't give you that time then this law firm won't even try to make it a priority to get the other parent charged with contempt. All they do is keep giving the other party written warnings.When the opposing party contacts them and says that they are about to comply with the court order the law firm just holds off on filing the motion for contempt and just takes the other party's word for it. The mother of my child has been in contempt of court for over 6 months now but all this law firm does is send out warning letters repeatedly. We will never get into court at this rate but all they seem to do is keep beating around the bush. This has to be the worst law firm in the united states. I'm just simply trying to see my child but his law firm could care less
