Received a traffic ticket in July 2020 and was really worried I'd get license and insurance points as a result. I got my 2nd speeding ticket this year and was dreading it because i thought my insurance was going to go up for sure this time. decided to give him a try after reading reviews and i’m really glad i did. 65 in a 45 got reduced to improper equiment, no insurance or license points. Douglas Portnoy was an excellent attorney. Everything was smooth and easy how he handled my speeding ticket. My speeding ticket he was able to reduce it to an improper equipment offense.Therefore it did not affect my license or insurance. His cost was the most reasonable out of all attorneys in the area. I hired Attorney Portnoy to handle a speeding ticket. I had just moved to North Carolina a month or two prior so when I received the attorney mailings, I disregarded them. As the court date drew closer, I realized the benefits of having an attorney represent me for my court hearing and quickly found Attorney Portnoy. He was quick and thorough with his responses, letting me know exactly what he needed in order to represent me and exactly what to expect. He appeared on my behalf (as I am writing this, it was yesterday) and delivered exactly as he said he would. My charge was reduced and I received no points on insurance. I truly appreciate the attention he gave to me and delivering on his word.

I have received a moving violation ticket, and I realized that I should've talked to a traffic ticket attorney before I paid off the ticket. Got the ticket reduced, but didn’t answer his phone, didn’t ever call back when I had questions, and hard to work with because of it. Only answered emails, but made it hard when questions weren’t being answered because of not understanding what I needed since it was email and not phone. Wouldn’t recommend unless you don’t need to get updated information for your case.
