Extremely unhappy with my experience. I have requested several things from your practice with very little follow up. 1. I requested to readjust my monthly payments due to several changes in my income and a huge increase in dependent and caregiver expenses. 2. I’ve offered to pay the cost for conversion to ch 7 and to cover the legal fees, no response. 3. Lastly I expressed that I wanted to surrender my vehicle, the only reason I decided to go with the Ch 13, also no response or follow up. It seems that with paying $1000.00 a month for bankruptcy is extremely difficult for me as my childcare , food assistance and housing is subsidized and trying to add another job would ultimately cost me to lose all of my benefits and I don’t have any money to pay for childcare and my disabled mothers care for day and night coverage. As I am a single parent of 5 with no support from anyone. This plan seems as if it is somewhat designed for failure, causing me to automatically default with only covering the $6000.00+ legal fees for no “legal assistance” from anyone at your practice. And with the way the economy is going, it’s not really designed for someone in my position to be financially stable and secure. After entering into a contract with hopes of starting over and continuing to make payments so that my kids and I could maybe dream to own a home after years of being chronically homeless. It hurts to leave this review, but I would hate for someone in my shoes to go through this. But at least the legal fees will be taken first out of all of the money I’ve paid that I thought was being applied to my debt that very little creditors have even submitted claims for. I will wait for my court date for dismissal in the mail. Maybe I’ll be able to fight for myself since my lawyers are not fighting for me. Kindly, Ms. Fuller 6/23/24: Update I am still receiving emails and texts to refile after my case was unfairly dismissed. I will be filing a formal complaint and grievance. After reviewing all of my emails and multiple signed contracts, I have proof that my paralegal PERSUADED ME to enter into all of my chapter 13 contracts when I was out of work on UNPAID maternity leave and I was not actively working or receiving income which caused my first missed payment and I feel that an appropriate attorney would not allow that to happen and SET ME UP FOR ABSOLUTE FAILURE OF MY CASE. And yes as I stated in my previous email that none of my creditors were paid in the year I was paying and the attorneys were paid off the top. All of the 5,000 dollars I was able to pay for a year went straight to the trustee and lawyers! False promises and preyed on a low income single mother who only wanted to fix her credit, lost everything I was promised this firm would help me keep. My daughter was born on 5/23/23 and I went out of work immediately after, my case was filed on 6/6/23. No income at all and on assistance from the government, didn’t return to work until January of 2024, used my tax returns for both years 23 & 24 that was supposed to go to my children to pay my chapter 13 payments. RUN, don’t do it! Not worth it.

I am so glad to have had the help I needed. From a 1-10, I give this office an 11. The Raleigh office is very Patient, Precise, and Professional. I received help and support from Ms Kelli Stanley and I would recommend her to everyone seeking the right help they need. She has been very considerate of me and my families needs, is very polite and respectful, and when I reach out to her, I’m never waiting long to hear back from her at all. First, let me start off by saying “OPEN/READ” through every single email that the Law Offices of John T. Orcutt send you! I can’t express how efficient and thorough they were, from my initial call seeking help to after everything was completed. Then to go a little further after that with purchasing after bankruptcy. Literally holding my hand every step of the way. I had to do my part of course, but they made it very easy and effortless. They changed my perspective and outlook on bankruptcy overall. They answered my questions/calls, and I had a lot. I remember getting emails along the way that would go over exactly what we discussed over the phone, which helped me to keep track of the process. After I received my completion letter that everything was finalized, I continued to receive emails from Law Offices of John T. Orcutt. Which were super helpful and needed, so continue to open/read those emails! I will admit, I just breeze through them like and some I didn’t open. Literally a month after my case was finalized my paid off car broke down. I got it fixed. 2months later it broke down again. I had a rental for a couple days and needed to decide. The mechanics wasn’t sure what was wrong, I had to return the rental in on Monday. I decided to clean out my 420 emails, and I came across Law Offices of John T. Orcutt email *Need to buy a car or truck after bankruptcy? I laughed and said yes, I do! It mentioned to contact Cynthia Hunter. I called her Friday morning I was driving my new car on Sunday, it would have been Saturday, but I had to return my rental. She literally is the epitome of executing the impossible! She was so kind and thoughtful, even when I called her at the crack of dawn on Friday morning. She didn’t make me feel that I was undeserving of a reliable or nice car due to my circumstances. She made me feel comfortable and seen. I appreciate her so much and all her efforts and continued support. The support and care from our first interaction to after my car purchase. She still checks on me and asks how things are going. Which says a lot about her character and her genuine love for wanting to help people who fall on hard times and need help! It really shows in her response time and diligent work efforts to get you approved! This was my best experience even prior to bankruptcy with purchasing a car! I’ll be calling Cynthia Hunter from now on when purchasing a car, I hope that’s ok!!!! I hope I was able to express how grateful I am to have worked with the Law Offices of John T. Orcutt and Cynthia Hunter for helping me in so many ways that I can’t imagine! I thank God for placing them in my life to be able to make all this possible. For anyone thinking of filing bankruptcy or even on the fence call Law Offices of John T. Orcutt they will get you what you need and then some! Along with preparing you for life after bankruptcy!!! 10 out 10 Stars!!!!!

My experience at John T Orcutt has been spectacular! Tina Moore is very professional, punctual, and compassionate! I have worked in customer service and customer relations for years, and was very impressed and surprised with her level of service and self-discipline. The initial handling of the chapter 13 filing was done well. However, if you need help afterwards, no luck. You're left hanging.

They did a quick and great job for me. If you need debt help, call them first!! Joe Nichols was my worker with some help from Tina Moore and they took care of my situation with professional service. They should get 10 stars but five is all that's allowed.
