Thank you to the Orcutt Organization and a special thank you to Joseph Nichols for working diligently to file my case. I use to think Bankruptcy was only for certain people. Honestly, I wasn't overwhelmed with debt... My issue was a judgment preventing me from obtaining a driver's license. Thankfully Mr. J Nichols helped me file my case and within 72 hours I will have a license. The services are straightforward, and you just can't beat the price! Not only that, everything was done over the phone... Amazing Right? Now I am confident and ready for this new start! Thank you so much Mr. Nichols!

Mary started off my process and was able to help and answer all my questions, then I was given to Joseph who got all my paperwork done and has made this process not scary and much easier! The team is always there to make you feel better and help in any way! I would highly recommend them!

From day one, this law firm has been a God send to me and my family. Ms. Pepper and Mr. Nichols are the best people I have ever had the pleasure to meet and to do business with. My case was extremely difficult. Because of the bad past experiences I had with attorneys and businesses, I was very distrustful. My situation was so complicated that it seemed hopeless. Both Ms. Pepper and Mr. Nichols were constantly encouraging me to stay focused and to not give up on the chance of having a resolution. Mr. Nichols gave the best explanation of what I was signing of anyone I have ever conducted business with. He explained my bankruptcy paperwork so well that I had no questions and I actually understood everything well. Ms. Pepper never gave up on me and my situation. She followed up with me and showed concern throughout the entire process. Both Ms. Pepper and Mr. Nichols were down to earth people that I felt comfortable talking to and trusting with my documents and my situation. Today I can say that because of these two people, I have a totally different view of bankruptcy and I am not afraid anymore of seeking assistance. This firm has been such a saving grace for me! The process was easy throughout and Joe Nichols especially was prompt in responding to questions and very supportive. I had my creditors meeting and am looking forward to a fresh start.

Allow me to start this complaint with, I paid $8,000+ to John T. Orcutt law offices by working several months of overtime. They were suppose to file a Chapter 13 (bankruptcy) [to stop my foreclosure], arrange payments to both of my mortgages, and file for my mortgage debt relief through NC Homeowner Assistance fund. I am disheartened that this firm has not fully executed what I have paid for, and as a result, my bankruptcy (Chap. 13) was dismissed on September 14, 2022. It has been confirmed that the law firm started the grant relief process for me and NEVER sent the proper documentation to the NCHAF (on 10/7/22 the NCHAF rep. stated 'We been waiting [a long time] for your attorney Angela Sabillon-Mosher to send proof of your March & April statements), this resulted in me not receiving any assistance! Therefore, I've had to fill/send all this information on my own! The communication of this law firm has been unfair to me, I have spoke to SEVERAL different attorneys and never ever have I spoke directly to John T. Orcutt. I informed the last attorney [Josh Goodmen] that I had received a letter via USPS that stated 'This case is to be dismissed due to default [11 U.S.C. Section 1307(c) and it stated I had an upcoming court date of 9/14/2022. I informed him I was not aware of it, I had only found out because of this letter - which was delivered to me 1 week prior to the court date. He emphatically told me not to worry because the most that would happen 'Is that I would pay a little extra towards my monthly Chap.13 payments'. I asked if I needed to be present in court w/proof that my employer was purchased by another company w/new Pay & HR, he told me 'absolutely not'. I never heard back from him after the court date, I called several times, they finally answered, and he informed me that the case of my chap. 13 was dismissed and no continuance was allowed, and my only option was to restart the process all over again [which has already cost me $8 grand]. Unacceptable!

It's a scary time right now for everyone, especially financially. Unfortunately, I could no longer handle the pressure and stress that my debt put on me. I was referred to John T Orcutt's office by my husbands co-worker and later learned that a good friend of mine had used them as well. It's always nerve-racking jumping into unknown territory, but when I first spoke with Tara for my free initial consultation, my worries truly faded. When I decided to continue on with filing, I was assigned to Joe Nichols and I'm so glad I was. Both Joe and Tara, as well as everyone else who I have talked to, make it so easy and personable. They reassure you that you are not a failure and sometimes this happens. That there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I will forever be grateful for this office helping me start over and get back on my feet again. It was actually a lot easier than I thought! And compared to my understanding of bankruptcy in the past, there is more forgiveness than I was aware of. Josh Gudmens helped carry me to the end of this journey and again, truly couldn't be more thankful for the whole bunch. Don't wait and keep enduring the burden of financial stress.

Ok, so no one likes to go through a bankruptcy. But if you have to, go with these guys. They are amazing. Nikki West (out paralegal, whom we interacted the most with), was so kind and patient. Very knowledgeable. Very helpful. Answered my stupid questions without making me feel stupid. Worst of all, we did something stupid by going overseas for work, which probably caused a heck-ton more headache and paperwork for them, but they made it super simple for us, and worked with us! Now that we have closed our chapter 13 I'm almost sad to not be in touch with them anymore! Thanks for all your hard work and making a very horrible situation for my family a little less bad.

John T or Cutt in Raleigh, has been the worst experience I had ever by far. I have noticed a lot of their black clients some how falls through the cracks. Their case are not as important than other cases I which it was someone who could investigate into this. We you come to people for help and they pretend that that they are intention. Then leave you out to dry . God please have mercy on people like these.
