I was thinking about filing bankruptcy 3 years ago, called in about it but the fee they said they were charging I couldn't afford, so i never thought about it again.Three years later today, i had some unfurnate events happen that made me want to reconsider bankruptcy. I called legal aid, to be told they still had an active case for me from three years ago and she did not know if she should open a new case. So she referred me to a lady name Rhonda Tucker; who's tone was unpleasant as soon as she called me. She proceeded to tell me that it had been 3 years and that lawyer did not have to take on my case and it would be closed and I needed to start a new case. I asked why didn't the other lady tell me that I would have done that yesterday, she responded and said well you waited three years. I replied, "wow, that was rude, and unecessary you don't know my situation and she said ok and hung up. Then I called the main line and wanted to start a new bankrutcy ticket and someone trannsferred me to her again, for her to tell me sorry we are no longer accepting new applications. Wow, talk about retaliation and rude service. I know there service is free but I would still expect some type of customer courtesy. I will file bankruptcy myself before I will ever call this company again.

Had all the information I needed and did not help me

Inadequate paralegals! I was able to conduct my own independent research that CLEARLY contradicted what they supposedly found. I'm convinced that they're under the impression that those requesting their assistance are not capable of obtaining a second opinion. I'm also convinced that, they all just sit behind a desk and respond to possible clients with the same lazy line "We are unable to help you" SAD! I'm pretty sure that the couple of people who gave good ratings, either work for this organization or are associated with them in some form or fashion. A waste of government funds!

Ever though they couldn't provide me services in court, they were very helpful with giving me advice and pulling up paperwork. I didn't have to go through Red Tape for. Also, resources for help was provided.
