I am incredibly thankful my friend referred me to Chris Fanning as a caring, no-nonsense, honest divorce attorney. He was a perfect fit for my situation, where I wanted to settle out of court with little to no drama. Along the way, both Chris and Trina made me feel empowered, protected and well informed. I was pleasantly surprised to have a resolution in less than 9 months with minimal emotional toll as I honestly never imagined the legal divorce process could be so painless. I feel fortunate to have found this competent team and highly recommend them if you're looking for a path to an improved life! Thank you Chris & Trina!

I had a challenging divorce that was also impacted by Covid and it’s restrictions. The team was available for me when I needed to bounce issues and ideas off them. Chris was always so leveled and calm when I was panicking. I don’t wish divorce on anyone but the right lawyer makes the difference!

A friend recommended the firm to me as I was going through a very challenging, contentious divorce. I am forever grateful to have crossed paths with Christopher Fanning, who took my case.
Christopher brought a fresh perspective to my case while validating my concerns and addressed my case in a logical manner that helped to calm my anxiety and focus my efforts for the good of my children and myself.
I never would have thought we could settle anything without going to court. However, with Christopher's careful attention to my 'must haves' and knowledge of the law, I was represented fairly and justly. In the face of the opposing party potentially trying to persuade me to agree on items that were not in my favor, Christopher knew the law and how to navigate the agreements in my favor. We avoided court and were able to work with a retired Judge to mediate our case and save us much time and money while preserving a level of control over our future with our children.
Following the General Judgement, Christopher has kept in contact with me to answer any lingering questions and is willing to do so in the future should I need legal advice.
In appreciation- Amy

I had just had a bad experience with an attorney's office so I was really skeptical but their firm restored my faith in lawyers and in the justice system! If you're looking for the best then look no further. If they could all be as compassionate as their firm and the strong backbone to stand up for their clients. I had been abused by my ex husband and felt no one would stand up for me. They did and got me what I needed and I finally felt safe and could sleep at night. I can't thank them enough!

I cannot thank Chris, Trina and the whole team at Schantz Fanning enough. I needed my Alimony payment adjusted per my divorce agreement. I interviewed several law firms that practiced in Washington County, OR. and based on the many positive reviews, recommendations, and professionalism of Schantz Fanning I chose Chris and team to represent me. The team immediately dug in and got to work gathering the proper information and laying out a plan that ultimately led to the most favorable judgement for me which was eliminating the payment of alimony completely. The work and the outcome that Schantz Fanning fought for saved me three years of payments I would have otherwise paid unjustly. I would recommend Schantz Fanning to anyone who needs strong comprehensive representation in family law.

Christopher Fanning did a fantastic job representing me and guiding me through my divorce. He helped keep me focused on the issues that mattered most to me without getting lost in things that mattered little to the final outcome. I am very happy with the result and overall financial and emotional costs.

+++The ethics of this firm are far from what I would consider to be reasonable.+++
+Responce to owner's comment:
Well, you said that your client was awarded attorney fees, so I paid you. Don't forget that the judge denied my submission of evidence, emails of my attorney threatening to file motions because you failed to communicate. I had to pay thousands of dollars to an attorney for you to drop that ridiculous contempt charge for your client returning alimony checks. You disagreed with the team of medical professionals who saw fit to medically retire me from the military after I was injured in Afghanistan and you were warned by the Judge that you were crossing the line. Your client is a doctor, and I collect disability and pay her alimony. Let's not forget that you dragged your feet for 18 months so that the divorce couldnt proceed so that your client could collect VA education benefits under my entitlement. So yes, unethical.
Reasonable concessions.... so why did your client get 70% of the assets and I got 70% of the debt. Who made reasonable concessions? Look at the document you helped author, and then come at me with facts for once.
Everything was divided in the divorce, contempt was for alimony, read your own documents. So unethical.
+Update: Sep 22nd, 2021.
Mr. Fanning: "My client has also not received any support payments...if you insist on disregarding the court order."
Me: "I was never in violation of the General Judgement..." Fanning pursued me for the better part of a year threatening contempt because his client returned the alimony checks that were sent from my bank.
+Update: August 31st, 2021.
I sent Mr. Fanning: Also, please quote the General Judgement. Simply saying "per the terms of" doesn't make it true. You screwed up when you wrote the document, and I am only going to comply with written and signed court orders. Take your, "per the terms of and shove it."
+Update: August 16th, 2021.
I just realized that this most recent threat to have me found in contempt is because I will not sign an INCOMPLETE form.
+Update: August 11th, 2021.
From Mr. Fanning, "At this point, we have not yet filed a contempt action against you for various reasons." and, "While you may have been entitled to reimbursement of 5$$$." and, "If you are hoping to receive any payment for any future [reimbursement] payments, you should send her 1$$$." (Mr. Fanning keeps trying to comingle funds despite my vehement refusal and demand for specific performance of the General Judgement.)
My response included: "Various reasons you say. I am guessing because your client stole from me and then hid thousands of dollars from the courts. Oh, let's not forget that she lied under oath - I believe that is called [perjury].: Your clients documents contained lies that I dispproved in court with receipts. "And let's not forget the libel." and, " Also, you keep telling me that your client isn't going to pay me. I AM THE ONE WITH NO REASON TO BELIEVE TO BE REINBURSED... I have been sending checks every month and have not missed one payment. Your client has only made one [reimbursement] payment. I am the one in good standing.("For reasons")" and, "I call B.S. on the 2019 taxes. I sent everything to Ms. Roncevich. Also, if you recall, I have been demanding her tax provider's information so that I can accommodate someone of her choosing to finish it. Either she has done nothing, or she hired another inept person who hasn't called me since December 2020. ("For reasons")."
About me: 36 y.o. male. 100% Permanently and Totally disabled and medically retired from the US Army after 16 years. I have an artificial spinal disk, 2 bulging disks, Chronic Pain, "Chronic, Combat, PTSD," and a TBI (Tramatic Brain Injury) with memory issues from a blast (these are just a few of my disabilities- I was retired with 28 of them). I am rated by the VBA as "medically unstable" and cannot work. I collect VA disability, but over 10% of my disability compensation goes to my PhD Candidate ex-wife, Alexis Paige Roncevich f.k.a Alexis Massheimer.

Annalise was amazing. From start to finish, I could not ask for a better attorney who at the end of the day, was looking out what was best for my boys, which was the only thing that mattered. I could not recommend her more!

Annalise was my attorney for my divorce, and I could not have been happier with the job she did. She even helped me figure out which parts of the process I could do myself, so that I didn't spend more than I had to on attorney fees. I feel like she always gave me really good advice, and when we did have to go to court, I'm so, so glad she was there with me. She is incredibly sharp, and she knows what she's doing. It was also clear working with Annalise that she has a lot of integrity.
