He is a Mensch. We were referred to Mr Ybarra by the OR State bar referral line. In our affordable phone consultation, he told us exactly what we needed to do to exercise our tenant protections under Oregon law and Portland ordinances. He was even patient when I was a noodle head, and assured us that we didn't need to pay him extra money to do what we could do for ourselves. Having his advice is giving me the confidence to move forward fearlessly. Our situation isn't resolved yet, but it should be. Thanks so much!

He will take your consultation fee upfront so he can be rude, impatient, and condescending.
Don't waste your time or money. I hung up after 15min of the 30min consultation, because he went from monotone to irate and accusatory within minutes after asking if he'd be able or willing to refer me to someone else...
While I had no intention of writing a bad review originally, after he accused me of going to go and do so despite never having said anything of the sort, it then sounded like a great idea to tell y'all about my experience.
It was his only solid advice.

Asked for assistance, he said he hasn't worked with anything like this. And told me to Google attorney's that can help me. When I asked for anyone he can reference to he said "ok have a good day" and click.
