We hired the BLG when my dad urgently required additional care. Unfortunately my brothers and I were not aware of how dire a situation my parents were in and we needed help quickly. In 2021, it became very apparent I needed a Massachusetts estate planning attorney and family law firm to help with multiple matters. Being from out of state, I knew no lawyers in the Berkshires not to mention an arduous selection process searching for an experienced lawyer and firm.
I narrowed my search to attorneys and firms in central and south Berkshire County. With little knowledge, I first contacted Berkshire Law group. After an initial phone call, her team recognized the urgency and immediately arranged for a virtual meeting during the pandemic. They took total charge of my family and estate legal matters as well as eldercare needs. After the initial call with the firm’s paralegal, Dawn, and later Zoom session with Paula Almgren, Esq., I had total confidence in their ability to help.
I have used Paula and Berkshire Law Group again in 2023 and 2024 to help with other estate document planning changes and related matters. They made my life easier and it was a pleasure working with them.

The BEST!!!!!!! Hired her for a 40 year dissolution of marriage case after I experienced terrible representation from Linda Fried and Christina O’Brian (Henderson Franklin).
Michele was meticulous and heard my words. She was stellar at trial and uncovered the many lies through my ex’s testimony.
Only negative was when my ex appealed the final judgment, I had to get another attorney to represent me because Michele doesn’t practice with appeals.

My husband and I had gone to Greg Nussbickel in 2017 to write up our Will and Trust. When my husband passed in 2024 I called Greg to look over and make amendments on my existing Trust to make sure my children would avoid probate. We had two telephone encounters, first one to go over what amendments needed to be done and second one to read over those amendments and to change what needed to be changed. My elderly mother needed to update her power of attorney. As she is in a nursing home, not mobile, and 1,200 miles from me, I was concerned about accomplishing this. David outshines every attorney! As someone who has been through family law hell and a custody nightmare, trusting an attorney is a challenge. David understands DV, coercive control, post separation abuse and a litigant weaponizing the legal system to hurt and destroy their ex. Above all, he understands the needs of the child and cares about the children. I believe he has young kids himself so perhaps it’s why he is able to quickly and immediately identify when an abuser is just going above and beyond to hurt the other party, but in reality hurting their child. While they say to leave emotions out of everything, David certainly fights for the best interest of your children as if they are his own. I searched high and low for someone that understands nonphysical DV like David does and I can’t be more fortunate to have him advocating on behalf of my children and me. His entire office is exceptional, caring and compassionate. I have not personally worked with Stephanie Palo but I also hear she is knowledgeable and exceptional. It gives me that extra confidence in the event she ever needs to step in if David is away or unavailable. WOW! I just don’t have the words to express how grateful I am that Attorney Marcus Sermons agreed to take on the lawsuits brought against me as the executor of my brother’s estate. I live in NH and my brother lived in Florida. Unfortunately, my brother’s biological and estranged child flew into Florida within 24 hrs of his death believing she was entitled to everything… regardless of his will and final wishes. Her deceitful and aggressive actions only added more sadness and trauma to the loss of my brother.
I could say Attorney Sermons gave me 110% or 150% or 200% … but it was more than that.
• First, he took on the case which was already messy from two previous attorneys… and I had been warned by a paralegal friend that no attorney would care to wade into a small, yet complicated estate lawsuit
• Attorney Sermons’ calm, supportive demeanor brought me to tears immediately as I felt heard for the first time in more than a year

Ms Fordham has a mannerism that instantly puts you at ease. She is as sharp as a whip! She knows her stuff in construction and instantly can spot failures in construction with just a brief look at a picture. We had a contractor breathing down our neck nickle and dime-ing us (or trying to) with made up, trumped up charges.
