Very nice guy and very professional.

I met Atty Ellison a few years back and needless to say I was beyond impressed. The thing that impressed me the most was his desire to work with me and make sure that I was treated fairly. He did it. He set up multiple appointments so that we could meet and discuss my case and ultimately have the case resolved when it was thrown out. We actually had a ‘mock examination’ at his office one day. You would be hard pressed to find another who cares as much as Dave. With Dave you’re not a docket number, you’re a person.

I met Dave years ago at a legal training and we worked together for a year. As an appellate attorney who reviews trial attorneys for a living, I think there are two keys to being a good attorney: (1) do they care, and (2) do they think outside the box? The answer to both is a huge YES for Dave. His passion for the law and compassion for his clients is what drives him. This is more than a job! If he won the lottery tomorrow, he'd still be a lawyer, and that says a lot about a person. He's creative, analytical, and smart, too. He stares problems in the face until a solution appears. It wasn't abnormal for me to come to him as soon as I ran into a wall in my cases, and we'd spent hours discussing how to get around these walls and coming up with brand-new defenses. He isn't afraid to argue something new, and also isn't afraid to keep challenging the status quo. If I ran into trouble in Rhode Island, he is literally the first person I would call.
