I can score Kevin Kalajian top score in every phase of him helping me with injury accident in Fresno in my RV when I was traveling Solo Fulltime cross country.
He answers the phone. returns calls promptly. replies to emails promptly. experienced with the other insurance company. experienced and knew his way around my med insurance provider and medicare.. He completed all the paperwork that I couldn't have done.
He kept me updated of status and explained everything in Laymans terms . was not condescending. He facilitated a satisfactory settlement while avoiding a trial. I tried 3 other law offices and never got past the call screeners. Kevin listen to the whole problem of 3 month trip interruption in a hotel in triple digit temps in fresno not knowing anyone. all this was smoothly accomplished remotely as i was still traveling 2 months before the 2 yr statute of limitations was up. I called him April 3 2023. He was my last attempt to try another referral.. and he was a blessing. He worked hard for me but made it look easy. My settlement will help if I ever need further PT or cover diminished value if needed when sell my RV. Plus pain and suffering. He dispersed my settlement to me promptly after he received the funds.

The quote above is one I wish had come to mind before retaining the first attorney in my criminal case. It is never a good decision to make a decision from anxiety and fear of unfamiliar circumstances.
What prepares a person without a criminal record to take the next step in the judicial process after bonding out of jail? Nothing.
Living an honest life for 60 years means little when falsely accused of domestic violence. Watching as mandatory arrest and no-drop prosecution policies implemented to protect victims of domestic abuse were skillfully exploited and manipulated by the mother of my son's young child was staggering.
The hurried decision after being released from the mandatory Metro Jail 12-hour hold to pay legal retainer fee was a novice's mistake. Choosing from a list of private counsel found in the reception area of the Public Defender's Office without researching experience and case results almost jeopardized my rights and freedom. Unlike my accuser, there was no army of advocates waiting to guide me through the process.
Thankfully, I was able to find Mr. Horst's website in my online search for highly-rated experienced criminal trial attorneys. After watching Mr. Horst's video “My Client My Fight”, I knew he was the person for my defense.
The most repeated characteristics of successful criminal defense attorneys mentioned in articles I read online were:
Credibility, Communication Skills, Knowledge, Confidence, Civility, Personal Involvement and Courtroom Demeanor and my addition to the list - Backbone. Mr. Horst possesses them all in spades.
From the beginning, my decision to have the case bound over to Criminal Court was non-negotiable. Many people said to me, "Why not just accept the General Sessions hallway offer of judicial diversion, conviction, 16 week offender program and no jail time just to be done with the stress?"
Mr. Horst said me, "Why?"
Words cannot describe the feeling of waking up the morning after my case was retired. For the first time in almost a year the anxiety and thoughts of an emotional trial were gone.
I am very grateful for Mr. Horst's endless patience, understanding and guidance during the judicial process.
Hopefully, I will not need a criminal trial defense attorney in the future. I would, however, without hesitation, recommend Mr. Horst to anyone facing charges in criminal court.

It took me a while to write this review because being arrested is a difficult experience and I've had a hard time looking back on it, but I'm writing it now because Richard went above and beyond for me when I really needed someone.
After I was arrested Richard came to court immediately to help me and got me released from the holding cell within 30 minutes on a personal bond, meaning I didn't have to pay any bond. Had he not jumped into action right away I would have been stuck by myself in that holding cell over the weekend.
Richard is an attorney who truly cares about the rights and freedoms of the people he represents and I am so grateful he was there to help me when I needed him.

There really is no words to explain what an exceptional lawyer Dan is. Little history on my story/experience with Dan; I was dealing with a case with a different lawyer that did an awful job. I then came into probation violation and it was a very complicated case where I had technically 4 violations. A warrant was set out for me. I was allowed to move to another state for school and the court was going to take me back to Illinois. It seemed truly like a case that NO WAY I could win. But then Dan did his thing. Dan not only was able to SQUASH my no bond warrant, he was able to let me stay in the state I reside in currently AND got me off of probation and under supervision instead! I have no clue how he was able to do so much but he made it work. And having dealt with a bad lawyer I really know the difference between a good and bad one. When we deal with court it’s scary. You want a lawyer that will respond fast, give their all to defend you and try to get the best outcome possible, and one that gives you RESPECT. Dan did all of these things and I can’t thank him enough. If I had to return to Illinois I would have lost my school, apartment, job and I would most likely have been living out of a car and really losing all the goods I have in my life out here in the state I reside in. I was dealing with a possible probation revocation, I spoke with Mr.Keating about how I wanted go forward with my probation and he explained all the possible scenarios that could happen and answered any questions I had. He has great patience, very understanding, doesn’t make you feel judged, and overall makes you feel comfortable which then builds confidence with your choice of choosing him to represent you. He’s very honest with how he feels an outcome will play out and let’s you decide whether or not you want to take route. My probation was going ideal until my probation officer filed the motion to revoke me earlier than expected, I ended up having a warrant for my arrest. Mr.Keating came up with a solution to keep me from going to jail (as I have 2 kids dependent on me) and that required me to step into the courthouse full of officers. I honestly was very hesitant but I trusted him and I walked out of the courtroom discharged from my probation a month earlier than my intended date! I also adore his paralegal Robin! She is truly amazing, she’s has great communication, great response time, and helped me feel comfortable and at ease with an undesirable situation! I’m sure he has multiple clients but him and his staff really make you feel like you’re a priority which is so important when dealing with time sensitive matters. Tami Mitchell is a life saver!!! I can say that because she saved my life.
I was falsely accused of numerous accounts of sexual assault in the military. I went to a courts-martial and was found guilty of several counts. Tami came recommended to handle my appeal. Once I spoke to her, I knew she was the lawyer for me. She read through the 1500+ page record of trial and presented a strong case for overturning my convictions. 18 months later, Tami’s excellent work paid off and my sexual assault convictions were overturned for factual insufficiency, which is the equivalent of an acquittal. Attorney Stephen Sawyer was my attorney for a case that had been in the courts for 5 years. As this case was scheduled for trial there was a large ammount of work that had to be done because of the severity of the charges and the fact that the incident was so long ago by the time we reached the trial date.
