I called ready to retain help. Unexpectedly, he sat on the phone with me for as many questions as I had and walked me through the process. He was so kind and made sure that I understood my rights and told me exactly what I needed to do and without having to retain him, as it seemed as there was reason to retain him beyond our conversation. Im writing this on behalf of my wife who hired John to represent her for a pregnacy discrimination case against one of the biggest banks in the US. After contacting several lawyers when we found out about my wife being laid off 5 days before our baby due date, we were worried that we would not find someone to help us regarding discrimination. However, I submitted a request with John's law firm and John returned my call. He made us feel like we were in excellent hands and that he genuinely cared for our family's situation with my wife's job loss right before our baby was due. John and his associates including Caroline were so great and helpful throughout the whole process. We settled for significantly more than the severance that was offered. John built a great case for us and was a win win for John and my family.

The person on the phone with my mom or secretary was really rude to her and we asked for a representative who speaked spanish and the representative was super rude and didnt let us get a word in and acted as if we didnt know what we called for. She kept on cutting off my mom and wouldnt let us get in contact with the lawyer. My mother had questions asked and she needed time to remember them and she kept ln rushing her. I am a Domestic Violence Survivor. I have a double Major in psychology and Elementary Education with a minor in early childhood education. I was a teacher for United Cerebral Palsy and now I can now longer work due to a TBI I suffer from the blows to my head from my husband. I have humbly applied for a poor person's application which goes to a Supreme Court Judge, who then makes the decision to either deny or grant the petition. I was blessed to be granted council and was assigned to Mr Hillman. My background is important because although I’m unable to work due to my disability, I now spend my “good’ days, although they come and go, volunteering my time helping others, mostly the elderly, usually to bring a little joy back into their lives by helping them clean out flower beds, gardens, overgrowth, overwhelming rooms or garages. Volunteering is like therapy for me, so by helping others in what gets me functioning.
I am a very patient and understanding, open minded and forgiving person, however after initially emailing Mr Hillman with some information introducing myself and receiving no response, and then leaving several messages with his staff to schedule an appointment I finally got to speak with Mr Hillman after 2 months of constant attempts. (Please remember I am considered to be a “Pro-Bono” client) the first thing Mr Hillman said in an unexpectedly stern voice to me was “I don’t travel,” Now I did just relayed I was understanding, so I quickly responded with” I understand,” I will drive the hour to meet with him. He then proceeds to tell me he had no paperwork for me (as I hear him shuffling through his papers on his desk) I try to explain how I became his client, and explained I also sent an email when I first received his information, and he replied with “oh there you are, right here at the bottom of the pile.” I ended the conversation with an appointment and a very uncertain feeling about the representation I was about to receive. Mr Hillmans actions were a sign of someone who had no interest in my divorce, yet I still walked into Mr. Hillmans office with a positive and hopeful attitude because I am genuinely grateful to have been given help.
Knowing nothing about me or my case along with the obvious disinterest, the first thing Mr. Hillman told me he was going to do was change the reason for my divorce from Cruel and inhumane treatment (which is the reason for divorce) to irreconcilable differences while claiming they would give me the same results (which is far from the truth) Mr. Hillman looked right at me and blurted out “There is no way you can prove abuse” I politely interrupted to explain I could prove abuse, and then he brazenly explained “THAT WOULD TAKE A LOT OF TIME, ANDI’M NOT GETTING PAID.”” I literally put my head down in shock of his blatant discrimination. Sitting on the edge of my seat already riddled with anxiety, feeling belittled and fear, and most importantly defeated.
It’s a very sad time when your lawyer treats you disrespectfully by bullying his clients, those very same people Mr Hillman took an oath to give representation He wanted to control how I did things solely based on his need to make money or lack there of. He was arrogant, he lacked respect, social skills and even knowledge of the law (at least pertaining to my situation) nor did he do anything to prepare after I traveled over an hour to see him.

In October 2018, I was a pedestrian in a car accident. Thank God, I was able to walk away from it. However, I did sustain injuries and was out of work for a long period of time.
Through a recommendation, I contacted the Law Office of Edelman, Krasin and Jaye for guidance and advice. After a home visit to discuss the particulars of the accident, I was soon thereafter contacted by the office of EKJ and frankly, I hit the jackpot. The paralegal on the other end of the phone, whose name is Rosemarie, was just the person I needed. I probably asked hundreds of questions and for every answer she gave me, I had hundreds more to ask. But for Rosemarie, that was just fine. She let me talk. Her caring and patience was remarkable. She was able to read me as a person, and not just a client. There were countless phone calls, emails, appointments, paperwork, as well as many fears and tears. My wonderful paralegal got me through all of it. When there was despair and confusion and I picked up the phone, in no more than an hour (sometimes less), there she was. Rosemarie called me before and after my surgery and even remembered my birthdays. After surgery, beautiful flowers were at my doorstep. We became client/friends and I grew to love her.
After five years, and many court appointments with very talented attorneys, my case actually went to trial. This was something that Rosemarie knew I was terrified of. As a matter of fact, we giggled about it many times. But the time had come and once again, she was the one that got me through it.
In the end, I received a very fair settlement through the hard work, professionalism, and “never give up“ attitude of so many at EKJ. I was touched by so many attorneys, including some of the partners, and everyone was amazing. I was treated with respect and dignity and compassion for five years.
I would like to give a special thank you to my attorney at trial, Colin Rathje, who did a fabulous job. Colin worked very hard for me and kept me up-to-date on everything that was happening in the courtroom, which is not an easy thing to do. He was so caring and solid and tough. In the end, decisions needed to be made. He explained everything to me and guided me to a good and just decision. I will always appreciate your hard work and effort.

Please run as far away from this attorney as possible. In addition to being inarticulate, my personal interactions with Mrs. Williams have lead me to believe she's dishonest and simply not good at her job.
Mrs. Williams was hired by my father's baby mother and her children to represent them in a probate proceeding. Though Mrs. Williams was not the attorney of record for the estate, she acted as the de facto spokeperson for matters regarding an estate that had been dormant for nearly a decade. Mrs. Williams did everything in the interest of her client. Kim Williams inserted herself in matters that did not involve her, including refusing to give me a copy of a Title Report to which I was entitled to receive per New York City's Surrogate Court Procedure Act. Furthermore, when I questioned Mrs. Williams' conflict of interest for handling the needs of her clients while interfering with the estate, she accused me of "threatening" her and sent me a cease and desist email. As an attorney, she was unaware that cease and desist letters must be served in person. What attorney, worth his or her salt, accuses someone of threatening them when they are unable to answer questions germane to an estate that they inserted themselves in? This is just one of many examples that show her inability to do her job well. Mrs. Williams also filed objections to me being the administrator of the estate when I never made the request of the court. Those objections cost money! One can assume reading comprehension is not her strong suit.
I have attached images of Mrs. William's 5 star review from a person who happens to share her same exact name. I've also included the email from her claiming she found my non-threatening emails threatening. Though I have redacted both of our email addresses, the emails are unedited. Please steer clear of this lawyer/real estate agent. You'll thank me later.

The Pittsburgh Office of Leech Tishman was an extremely easy and understanding firm to work with. I hired Patricia Savage when my small business got hit with a EDD California audit. I had previous council, which I moved on from once I met with Patricia to discuss my case. I was referred to fox & fox by another law firm whom has extensive knowledge of my current ongoing employment litigation.
The questions asked during the brief "consultation" were meant to gage how much I could pay to keep the case going.
As soon as the attorney became aware that I am disabled and unable to pay extravagant hourly fees out of pocket, he began to give excuses as to why he couldn't take my case without first asking about the merits of the case.
Examples;
(1) He has too many cases currently.
(2) It would cost alot of money to review the case where it currently stands, and I don't have it to pay.
(these were his words!)
(3) He works for a firm, therefor he can't make decisions independently.
(4) He doesn't have all the necessary information to make an offer, but is too busy to follow up to obtain the necessary information..
I think you who are reading this get the point..
Without money to pay hundreds of dollars an hour in fees, we have no civil rights or equal access!
This message is for the hourly employees, the disabled, the disadvantaged and underprivileged looking to uphold your civil rights.
Majority of these law firms advertise that they are for the people, but in reality they serve the corporate giants that can afford to pay upfront to drag these matters out, effectively exhausting the hourly workers resources and therefor making it nearly impossible to find an ethical attorney who will seek to learn first about the merits rather than your economic status.

I do not recommend this law firm for personal injury or any other matters. They don't communicate well and take weeks to do the simplest of tasks. They make you feel like you're not smart enough to understand legal jargon. I don't feel like they care about me and my outcome at all but keep giving excuses to push me aside for another few months. They didn't even notify me when my attorney and paralegal left the firm and gave me no one to contact.

My girlfriend needed an employment attorney and the reviews seemed overall very good. At my gf's request, I contacted this company and told them to contact her at her number. Imagine my surprise when they contacted me again instead of the number that I gave them. After that, they finally get ahold of her and set up a time for a "consultation" (their words). We get the call on the agreed upon day and it's not a consultation. We, instead, speak with a paralegal, Bernice, who sets up a time to speak with the attorney, who we are told is Nick in about a week. We wait for the agreed upon date, which we were given not a specific time, but instead a window that the call would come in from Nick. Well, we waited and around the end of the window of time, my gf called and was told that Nick would be contacting her soon. He didn't. So my gf called again, now almost an hour after the window of time ended. We spoke with Miguel, who was professional albiet short and not very helpful. He indicated that Nick had some other pressing and thusly could not take our consultation at this time as agreed. My gf inquired as to why we were not given a call to inform us this change. Miguel had no explanation whatsoever. My gf asked when would we be able to speak with Nick and again Miguel was completely inept. We asked to speak to a managing partner and Miguel refused to pass that request along. So, to review, we have waited weeks for a consultation and got blown off with no explanation whatsoever. We can't get confirmation on when we can speak to an attorney or a managing partner. This is easily the most unprofessional and inept law firm I've ever encountered. I get that things happen but communication, professionalism and a willingness to make things right is key.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was going to file bankruptcy and was told I had to pay them $1,500 upfront, that was fine and I paid. I had other things come up that were not so good so I did tell them to hold off on processing papers. At this time nothing was done on their end, all I did was send papers in and they received them. I decided to not file for bankruptcy at this time. I reached out to them and let them know that and the first thing I was told was “no problem we will refund your money back”.. It has been over 4 months and i still have not received anything. I’ve called multiple times, I either cannot get ahold of anyone and nobody calls me back or I do get ahold of someone and they tell me they will find out what is going on but never do. I am disabled and have been waiting for my money back for months I think that is a ridiculous way to run a business you are supposed to have trust in. My advice is if you are going through hardships, and or need to file for bankruptcy please put your trust elsewhere!!!!

I was in a very bad situation and needed more help than just the Debt relief people. I wanted someone who I knew I could trust and that would not only help me but would give me support through the whole process. It was the worst consultation of my life only thing this lawyer cares about is herself. She is a poor listener and extremely condescending. She basically told me my case isn’t worth her time because she wouldn’t make money. After talking to other lawyers, she’s just a lazy lawyer who puts in minimal effort and collect her fees. It was very obvious during our conversation that she does not care about anyone and she is extremely rude. There’s a reason why she only represents herself and she never had a job with the real law firm.
