I hired Nick Mermiges to transfer my custody case from South Carolina to Florida, and he did an excellent job. We prevailed. I highly recommend his firm. He had very little notice (approximately 7 days) and was able to put together an exceptional case and was easily contactable throughout the whole case.

I could go on and on about why you should hire Nick so I’ll try to keep it brief. I was in an awful spot for many reasons, complicated even more by my previous “attorney” and me being in Iowa, not South Carolina. So Nick had his work cut out for him. He is intelligent but also very emotionally intelligent. After a few conversations I felt that he understood my situation and was empathetic every step of the way. I talked to over 10 attorneys and none of them felt like they genuinely wanted to help. I felt unheard and sadly, a little helpless when I reached out. Once he took me on as a client he was always available, responsive to questions and clear about what the steps moving forward would be. He was transparent about his fees, how they would be allocated and how far we could proceed with the funds we had. I found the the cost to be reasonable, better than the majority and well figured. You need to get along with your lawyer on some level because it’s a process and you will be communicating a lot. I believe him to be a very honest person with a clear view of right and wrong. He’s also a no nonsense type and efficient in how he works and I needed that. I needed to get things done and done fast. He prepared me for a bit of a struggle and set my expectations. I respected that and the plan, did what he asked and the results exceeded those expectations. He told me he would put everything he had into it and he delivered. It’s been 3 months and it still hasn’t fully set in. I ended up with everything I wanted and more. We didn’t have to go to trial and I was saved from having to pay thousands of dollars more and dragging the whole thing out. It’s finally over, my whole family will be forever grateful for all the hard work and hours he put into my case. We are happy and whole again. Thank you again Nick, with all my gratitude.

Jack swerling is one of the best lawyers i have ever had. I hope you never need a lawyer but if you do jack is the best. He did everything he said he would and never sugar coated anything.
