Professional and attentive to questions and concerns. Handled a legal situation when I was working overseas as an expat and worked autonomously to get the desired result without being able to have me present. Thanks!

A friend recommended Mr Brooks Davis to me and I’m so glad she did. I needed someone to fight for me, and he went above my expectations. He took all the stress off of my shoulders, and, along with the knowledge it takes to maneuver the complex legal system, returned the best outcome. He returns all calls, even on weekends! His fees are reasonable, and for me, that was important. I cant recommend him enough. He’s a great attorney , and more important, a good man. This is not my name, it’s from a little used google account, but I needed to sign in with google to leave a review. This is your man, no need to look further. You will be pleased!

Years ago, Mr. Davis helped me with a rather small dilemma (but which back then seemed like the hugest thing). Mr. Brooks, if you see this, thank you! Also, please note to anyone reading this: I am not using my real name in this review for privacy reasons and due to the revealing nature of this post. Back in 2018 (yes, three years ago), I had just graduated from nursing school and had just passed my nursing licensing exam. To celebrate, a friend and I took a trip to Charleston, SC to celebrate over a long weekend. In NYC where I lived and went to school, open container laws are not at all enforced, and so naturally, I figured it should be no big deal in Charleston. I went to a beach on Sullivan's Island, and little did i know that a brown bag was NOT enough to be considered discreet. Sure enough, a new officer on the force went up, asked us what was in the brown bags, and when we revealed it to be alcohol, he ticketed us. Despite pleading with the officer, especially as tourists ignorant of the law, he still ticketed us. It was a shame, and while I do acknowledge that ignorance is not an excuse, it forever tainted my image of Charleston. I will never be going back there nor contributing my money to their economy. That being said, I was worried about applying for jobs that upcoming fall of 2018, and on most hospital applications, they require you to acknowledge whether or not you were convicted of any crimes. Mr. Davis answered my random and frantic phone call a week after being ticketed, and he advised me for more than a half hour over the phone, putting my anxiety at ease. At one point, I was certain that I wouldn't be able to find a job, especially as a new graduate nurse with a "record." Luckily enough, he explained to me the legal system over at Sullivan's Island and how I most likely would be okay when applying for jobs. Fast forward three years later, I was accepted into nurse anesthesia school after working in the ICU for the past three years. I've had a very successful nursing career, and I served during the peak of the pandemic at the epicenter of it all - New York City. Thank you, Mr. Brooks for advising me through a short and stressful - yet blissfully short - time in my life. It seemed like my world was falling apart, but you helped a stranger put things in perspective and gave guidance when you didn't need to, all out of the kindness of your heart. This man cares about people, and I hope my story sheds some light on that. Thank you again; I have done all that I can to pay forward your kindness and generosity. Everyone should know that you're a compassionate lawyer, and I hope this helps to showcase exactly that.

I was given my first ticket in May and had no idea what to do. I contacted J. Brooks Davis not knowing much, he took the time to break down the best scenario and the worst possible scenario (which I appreciate tremendously.) He also told me upfront how he would try to get my ticket dismissed step by step and followed through exactly with doing so! Thank you again!!!

J. Brooks Davis knows what he's doing. He was very good at explaining everything and keeping me updating throughout the whole process. He is definitely the Charleston-area attorney to go with.
