If you are looking for a real estate agent in Austin, TX, Mark is the best! Not only does he work hard but he has a gift for knowing how to find the perfect home for his clients. I was also impressed with Mark's local charity work and his commitment to improving the quality of life in the Austin community.

Mark helped my wife and I purchase a home during the 2008 downturn. He is an expert in the role and we trusted him completely to help us close the deal - from search through closing. I highly recommend Mark!

After living in Milago for 5 years deciding to sell my condominium wasn't an easy decision and neither was finding the right realtor to represent it; until I met Mark. I luckily came across his business card and asked him to meet with me at my home to get an idea of his selling style and feedback about the property. I couldn't have been happier after that first meeting-Mark's approach was personable, detail oriented, well organized and above all else he had exceptional marketing strategies to get the property the exposure it needed to find the right buyer. The offers started rolling in just four days after I listed and Mark made the transaction easy and seamless. He's very dedicated to his work and his clients and was great about keeping me informed throughout the entire process.
In addition Mark helped me find a new home which wasn't an easy task since I had specific needs and a short time frame to do so. His flexibility for short notice showings, honest advice and endless patience were paramount, and he provides his clients with essential resources most realtors don't commonly share. I was fortunate to find and work with Mark Strub and have referred him to my friends in the community as a stellar real estate agent in Austin, TX.

This review is for our realtor - Cory Laurel within the StrÜb Residential team.
Working with Strüb has been a great experience. All I did was enter the word "realtor" on the Yelp keyword search in Austin and the Strüb company name popped up. I typically go with the most positively reviewed team so I sent an email to Strüb and another Yelp recommended team on March 14.
Strüb responded immediately on March 15 recommending 2 of their great agents that might fit our personality / needs. We were buyers relocating from San Francisco, CA to Austin, TX. Out of the two profiles, we chose Cory Laurel.
Right from the get go, a curveball was already thrown into the mix; I only had a few hours each day between March 20-24 to view homes while I visited Austin for work. Cory was up for the challenge and very positive. We viewed 15-20 homes during my limited time period in Austin, that's a lot of homes to look at in a short timeline. The other little wrench thrown in the pile was that we needed to find a place before we moved on May 23rd. Cory got right on it and recommend the lender for us to work with. She led the entire process and managed our expectations.
The third wrench was that we had a vacation planned for 2 weeks out of the country immediately after my visit to Austin. This meant that all correspondence and negotiations needed to happen immediately. Cory managed it all with such grace that we didn't have too many back and forth exchanges with the seller. It was a very pleasant buying experience for us. The negotiations, inspections, and closing were handled remotely. Our concerns / questions were answered almost immediately during the process. Our lender representative was even present on a Google Hangout during our closing in California. Overall, this was an A+.
Since we were located remotely, she even offered her time to get the locks changed on our new home prior to our move-in date.
We would do this again in the future with Cory.

I really can't say enough about how wonderful our experience has been working with Mark. My husband and I are first-time buyers, and we came to this super competitive market with very little knowledge of the home buying process. Mark met with us right away, just to get to know us and what would be important to us in a home. My husband and I started out with very different must-have lists. It was clear from the very beginning that with Mark this would not simply be a search for a house, but for the truly perfect home for both of us.
Mark was always available to answer our countless questions and to take us out to see houses at the drop of a hat, if we were eager. His counsel and advice were invaluable throughout the entire process. Believe me when I say Mark has the uncanny ability to spot both great and terrible properties from a mile away. He knows every neighborhood we were considering on a street-by-street basis, and he helped us hone in on the one neighborhood that fit us perfectly.
When THE home popped up on our list of properties, Mark literally arranged the viewing and began the negotiation process while out of the country. On vacation. He was determined to get us our home on our terms, and did.
We will absolutely be joining the ranks of Mark's repeat clients whenever we decide to make our next move (which is really hard to imagine considering how much we love the place he helped us find).

I have worked with Mark on a number of projects and every one has been a learning experience for me. Some transactions have required a good amount of patience, agility and most importantly, creativity. Mark's ability to think out of the box with confidence and skill has made him an indispensable tool for navigating Austin's real estate market.
Thanks, Mark

Mark helped us buy our first home in the summer of 2011. We knew exactly what we wanted, and once we found a house that matched 85% of our requirements, he worked really hard to get us that house. Seller's camp came off as rude and deceiving, and if we did not like the house as much as we did (and do now), we would have walked away from the deal, with Mark's full support. Throughout the entire process, Mark made sure that our interests are protected first and foremost, and it worked out really well for us. Thanks Mark!

Mark is awesome. I just sold my house and he was my agent. I know the market right now for selling is great in Austin, but Mark made the process even easier and overall I felt comfortable and trusted him to give me good advice on moving forward. I definitely didn't want to go with my agent that I bought my house with. He was late all the time, didn't listen to what I was looking for, and I did all the work. Mark on the other hand completely turned my experience around.
There are a few things I really appreciated about Mark:
- great energy and works tirelessly. I also felt like he put himself in my shoes and was patient and talked me through a lot of my concerns (I'm a first time seller).
- He was my feet on the ground. I sold my house in Austin but I live in NYC now. Mark had to go to my house and do errands, pick up stuff, let me know what needed fixing cleaning, etc. He never complained, dropped the ball, or left anything unfinished.
- Mark was confident in his negotiations but didn't come across pushy or negative. It was important to me to get the highest bid on the house that I could but I also didn't want to have a bully for an agent. Mark is kind and knowledgeable and not a pushover.
- There was a lot of work and negotiating, managing multiple offers, and also working with me while I've been in NY. I didn't hear about any of that stuff, though. Mark just took care of everything. Of course he told me about the multiple offers and helped me wade through that but I didn't hear about the extra work that goes on. Also, I really appreciated that Mark didn't tell me about any of the negative comments that might have come in about my house from potential buyers. That might be due to how good the market is right now, but still, I loved my house and I liked only hearing the good stuff. He dealt with stuff for me that didn't affect the ultimate sale of the house, which I appreciated.
- Communication didn't stop after the sale. He's giving me advice regarding the market and choosing an agent in NYC.
I know Mark because I served on a board of directors with him for the Austin Youth Hostel. I didn't get a chance to know him well, though. But my brief interactions with him, and knowing his background as to why the hostel was important to him, I knew right away that I wanted him as my agent. He is seriously a good guy and he has a special connection with people. I only wish I had known him when I was purchasing my house in the first place.

My wife and I recently relocated to Austin. I received a referral to call Strub and Mark set us up with Ashley. I was super impressed with how Ashley took time to answer all of our questions (we had many as things are different in Austin compared to what we are used to). She went WAY above and beyond our expectations. For example, we weren't ready to start seriously looking until March for an April or May closing and Ashley started showing us around town the November prior. Our experience was great, Ashley is a rock star and her team is amazing. The. Best. USE THEM.

Mark Strub is truly an uber-real estate agent! Our Austin home search began from our apartment in Brooklyn. Mark and my husband were in contact for a couple months before our move, narrowing down the search based on budget and various parameters we laid out to him like size, location, and amenities. We were sent an automatically updating list of homes almost on a daily basis for us to daydream about.
When we had made the transition to an apartment in Austin, we met with Mark so he could feel out our personalities and get a better sense of what neighborhood would be right for us. At that point, we were unsure whether to buy within the city limits or go further out to the suburbs.
Mark was always available at times convenient for us to show us homes that caught our eye. Not only did he provide valuable information about what to look for in the home itself, he also acted as an ambassador to the city, pointing out good restaurants, notable neighborhoods, info about schools, and other tidbits along the way. He made recommendations for mortgage brokers and insurance companies and was basically a patient, guiding hand throughout the process.
We ended up closing on a wonderful home that met pretty much all our desires within only a couple of months! We could not be more satisfied with the comprehensive service and professionalism of Mark and his team!

So helpful and professional! We just bought a house a month ago and Mark was our agent. The market is moving so quickly right now, we were really frustrated, but Mark gave us some solid advice and stayed on top of what was available.

I reached out to Strüb Residential partly on the strength of the super positive review on Yelp. We were buying sight-unseen from Colorado Springs. Man o man are they good!! Mark put me on to Alex Tapp, one of his up-and-comers. Alex did a fantastic job finding us a condo in Austin. He was incredibly responsive, on top of every opportunity, and kept me and other agents informed. He did a masterful job working a thorny negotiation. It all came out in our favor. Cannot say enough good. Be careful of the giant firms that may not have the time to treat you right. These guys will.
