I wanted to take a minute and reflect on my experiences with WaltersGilbreath LLC. I initially connected with Jake Gilbreath in Austin, Texas in early 2017. Due to unforeseen and unfortunate events with my now ex-wife, I connected with Jake within minutes. His professionalism and “to the point” style of legal representation was nothing less than stellar. I had already spoken with a handful of other “fathers rights” attorneys in the greater Austin area and was honestly quite disappointed. My hope was fading but my faith was about to skyrocket. Upon first contact, Jake was very welcoming and took time out of his personal life to assist with mine. It did not take me nor my extended family long to know that Jake was going to be part of our team! He was humble and inquisitive straight out the gate. He explained to my family and I the complexities of domestic disputes and covered all basis’s before I even signed a contract! WaltersGilbreath LLC not only assisted in regaining custody of my two daughters, but also walked by my side through quite a mess of a divorce. The firm somehow made a very unpleasant decision of mine, into a seamless process of organization and accomplishing the best for my children! Nobody plans on a separation yet unfortunately in today’s society it has become ever so prevalent. Father’s are often “thrown to the wolves” in the state of Texas but you must not be discouraged! I can't give Brian and Raya enough stars. Sheree, the office manager, is also amazing and goes out of her way to help clients navigate through what is often the toughest time in life. They have been my rock while going through a highly contested divorce and are always there for me when I need advice, support, and guidance. Jake Gilbreath and Brian Walters were always very professional, caring, and prompt with all of their responses to my questions. They handled my very complicated custody matter and were able to protect both me and my children in our time of need. If you need attorneys that are knowledgeable and will fight tooth and nail for you, I wouldn’t recommend any other firm. You won’t be disappointed.

Jake has been an incredible attorney. He did an absolutely incredible job representing me throughout my divorce and custody hearings back in 2013. It was not a simple case by any means; I was asking for a lot. He was very straight forward about his agenda and executed them seamlessly. He got the other party to settle and we signed off on everything I asked for, within reason. That arrangement was perfect for our family but unfortunately two years later in 2015, my situation with my children's father took a turn for the worse. I was uncertain what was going on but I rehired Jake to help me sort it out. He immediately set up a meeting with him that Sunday (his day off). Within a week we were in court with an order to test the other party for drugs. As soon as he found out the results came back positive for several drugs, he called me to meet him at his office to sign off on an injunction. He went before a judge that same day to cease all visitations until we could get a Guardian Ad Litem to further investigate. This escalated quickly from a modification case to a termination case. He communicates very well and doesn't beat around the bush. I have full faith in Jake. He has always put the best interest of the children first and that alone lets me rest easy. Even though he has several clients at a time, he has never made me feel like anything less than his top priority. I would (and have) recommend him to anyone going through a hard time and in need of a fantastic attorney.

I had a unique custody case that was a bit of an uphill battle for what I wanted to accomplish. Catherine Fuller and Slav Talavera were incredible and got me AMAZING results and I was completely done within a few months. I thought this would drag out through the end of the year. They were extremely thorough and excellent with communication. I hope I won't need their services again, but will go back to them if I ever do and I highly recommend Walters Gilbreath. New post 10/25/21: I had a fairly simple matter that I needed an attorney for and of course I went back to Walters Gilbreath. Jake was extremely quick to respond to my emails and got the matter wrapped up WAY faster than I thought would be possible. I hope I don't need a family lawyer again, but I will absolutely use Jake if I do. I can't recommend him and Walters Gilbreath highly enough.
