My divorce case was especially difficult due to my spouse living overseas and being completely non-responsive, which was both time consuming and frustrating. The help I received in getting my divorce completed, especially from paralegal Nicole Pearson, was invaluable, not to mention her friendliness and professionalism. It has been a bumpy road but I’m finally close to an end of an awful custody case. Regardless of any frustrations I had, Carah Beth and their team always did their best to investigate things and find leverages for me. In my case I was able to get a lot more than I was expecting at the temporary orders stage thanks to the investigative work of Carah Beth Bass. She is highly detailed and looks into things the way a lawyer should. Hopefully more time to come. Full transparency one of my big pet peeves is communication and that’s the thing I felt could have been better. Other than that though I’m here now, I’m happy, and I feel supported. My case has taken 2 years, and I lost contact with my child, but in the end I was able to get that back and now things are really looking good. Update 2024,my son is home from the Navy and I can't say how much Eric did for me 6 years ago that made it a possibility to negotiate with my Ex ,He truly made it easy during a difficult time ,when I watch all my kids around the table I always think of Eric . I was looking for a divorce family law attorney to handle a divorce modification immediately as time was of the essence .His staff was very polite and helpful and most important urgent and communicative during the process,Ive dealt with lawyers in the past for business and family which I felt like I was funding there 401k plan and office parking space renovations and not seeing the results.Eric was personable and understanding of the urgency and responded quickly with the proper paperwork I needed to provide correctly to the court,which I tried to do myself with no acceptance and rejected by the district clerk.Within weeks and a few modifications done by email to satisfy the court I received the results I needed ,I was fortunate to be referred to Eric from a colleague who highly recommended him . As a small business owner , time is money and Eric and his Staff made it easy to handle task on my time frame of urgency and I received the results I needed .I plan on using Eric as well in the future since he handles family law in his practice ,I feel assured that Eric and his staff our a gem in the rough in Austins fast changing hustle and growing city,Thanks

I hired Eric Willie in October 2015 for a simple divorce. Of course, there is no such thing. Eric and his capable and compassionate colleagues worked through the entire process with me. What should have been done in two to three months took more than eight months. Every step of the way, Eric and his team communicated with me well and got this done. Eric initially took my divorce case after taking a 5k retainer. He said that's all he would need and I would get everything I wanted from the house to 50/50 custody of the kids. One month passes by and I get a call from Eric telling me he needs to come into the office to discuss the case. He basically asks me for 5k more. I reluctantly pay another 5k and wait to hear from him. His paralegal did get in contact with me and got some information to set up the Discovery. That seems to go well, but once I'm done with the paralegal I NEVER hear from Eric again. I called, I wrote, I called again, I wrote again, month after month goes by and I get no updates or communication from the office or Eric for 8 months. I've basically given Eric 10k for his paralegal to get my finances. The case moved no further from that point. I would have fired him, but I couldn't even get a hold of him. Please don't hire this man, he will make a horrible situation like divorce or child custody even worse for you. Eric does have many good reviews, those reviews may be true and I'm not going to go through them. But if you notice the likes on the bad reviews, they are in the upper teens and some in the 20s. My guess is that most former clients are too scared to post bad reviews because they don't want Eric's backlash or possible legal retaliation. I'm sure there are many competent lawyers in Austin, Eric was not that for me.

He has made me feel extremely comfortable through the process so far. He’s got a great sense of humor that’s need at the right moment. Keep up the good work Eric and stop racing your wife you’re to old :) Brad
