I wanted to take a moment to explain why my experience with Thomas J Henry was so poor. The primary issues stemmed from a severe lack of communication, transparency, and a string of broken promises that were never fulfilled. Additionally, I was passed between multiple different lawyers over the course of my case, which left me feeling like nothing more than a number to this firm. My incident occurred on July 29th, 2022, and my case was only finally settled in October 2024—after more than two and a half years. I have to say, that’s an incredibly long time to wait. Initially, after the accident, we spoke with an attorney for over two and a half hours, providing all of our information. We felt reassured after this conversation, only to find out that we were assigned to a completely different attorney who seemed inexperienced. We requested to be reassigned to the original attorney we had spoken with, and thankfully, that request was granted. After spending a significant amount of time with the original attorney, we were once again reassigned, this time because the attorney was promoted to a managerial role. The new attorney, unfortunately, was inexperienced and unfamiliar with our case, so it felt like we were starting over after having already worked with the previous attorney for more than a year. This new attorney was also extremely uncommunicative and lacked transparency, forcing us to repeatedly call for updates on our case. After a long period of stagnation, I was moved yet again to another attorney—this time a litigation lawyer—without any direct communication informing me of this change. I was simply told my case had become too complex for the claims team, and as a result, the firm’s fees increased. Although the litigation attorney initially seemed promising and communicated well, he unexpectedly quit. Again, I wasn't informed about this; I had to call the firm myself to find out. I was then reassigned to yet another litigation lawyer. This time, I felt like just another case number. The communication was poor, and the process was filled with broken promises. In December 2023, after expressing my dissatisfaction in a letter to the manager and speaking with him, a portion of my case was settled. I was finally assigned a more experienced attorney. While this brought some relief, my case continued to drag on through 2024, with constant assurances that things would improve—but they didn’t. When I finally received my settlement amount, I requested an early disbursement, something I was told I could get, but this was ultimately denied. To add insult to injury, I was informed that my settlement check would be ready on October 3rd, but it wasn't. I had to wait an additional day to receive it. In summary, my experience with Thomas J Henry was extremely disappointing. It was a journey filled with broken promises, a complete lack of transparency, and a consistent feeling of being just another number. If you’re considering this firm, please proceed with caution and carefully weigh your options. My experience was not a good one, and I hope others won’t have to go through the same.
