I recently worked with Kate on my divorce. During the process, I found her to be very professional, informative, competent, compassionate and reassuring. She helped me to fully understand my options and I feel that she did a very good job in helping me to negotiate a fair settlement.

Kate represented me for a class B misdemeanor for theft. I am a professional in the medical field and am a mother of two. I have never done anything so careless in my life. This was truly such a stupid and irresponsible crime to commit and I have no excuses for my behavior. Fortunately after my arrest, I received so many letters from attorneys wanting to represent me. Kate's was one of them. I chose her, not because she was a female, or because she seemed more than qualified with her extensive legal background, but because in all of the letters I received, hers was the only one that also mentioned treating everyone with respect and being nonjudgmental despite the inexcusable and stupid mistakes we make. I made the call and got an appointment immediately. When I first met Kate, I explained what I had done. Although it's humiliating and terribly embarrassing talking about my crime, Kate never once judged me or treated me lik scum (which is what I felt like). She was focused and listened to my story without interruptions. Kate was very straightforward and explained my options, and even advised what she thought was the best way to proceed...but of course leaving the ultimate decision up to me. I am grateful for her vast experience. Everything she advised me on was correct and everything took place in a very timely manner. So not only did I receive a year probation (so no jail time), but I also used her service again to file for an expunction to clear this off my record for good. That process only took 2 months. Kate is a woman of her word. She is straightforward, blunt, and honest..but always maintains a compassionate heart. In this past 16 months she has represented me, I've only had to meet with her 3 times. She was always very good about keeping me informed of what was going on and always responded to my emails within 2 hours at the most. I never felt neglected or like an unimportant client. Erika, the office manager, was also always quite helpful, professional, and prompt with responding to my questions as concerns. Obviously I hope to never need Kate's services again, but if I ever have a loved one or friend that needs an attorney, I will without hesitation recommend Kate. She was truly a blessing during this dark time for me. I finally feel like the worst is behind me, and I certainly owe Kate for her expertise and compassion.

Words cannot express how thorough this woman is with everything she does and says. She is to the point, explains things in great detail so you are on the same page. I was charged with tampering with evidence ( 3rd degree felony ) during the winter break of my junior year in college while I was on a student visa. I went to consultation with at least five different lawyers in Conroe and Kate was the ONLY lawyer that not only cared about my case, but also my future in America as well. She listed the three most important goals that I want to achieve as a engineering student and she worked very hard to insure that my case does not jeopardize any of my future. She constantly reminds me of my bail condition and court dates. On my first court appearance I was in court for no more than 30 minute before she told me my case was dropped. She dropped a 3rd degree felony case during my first court hearing. Now thats something you don't see every day. Kate is not only an amazing lawyer, but a faithful Christian as well.
