Dennis handled my very complicated divorce and custody case with professionalism. His style is direct, straightforward, and efficient; all of which I appreciate. His staff worked with me throughout the process of revising the documents and petitions that were filed, and my hearing went 100% smoothly. I would highly recommend Dennis to those in need of assistance with family law matters and will continue to use him for my own.

Its been 1 year since I hired Ben to do a Texas guardian on children I already have guardianship of in 2 other states. I gave his office every paper and where about of people they need to send papers. I just received a letter from the parent in jail and this person has never been contacted by Ben Raia office. Three months ago we went to court and I was so embarrassed that Ben had no paper work prepared for any of the children. When I wrote Ben last month he stated he would see if I had any money left from my retainer to refund me. WHAT; money left Ben has not done anything to even keep a penny let alone $6000.00 find yourself another lawyer run as fast as you can. Everything Ben's office received was from me doing the leg work and nothing was done after it reached Ben's office.

I used Dennis Slate as my attorney for my divorce in 2014. He was very professional and his staff was very quick to respond to any concerns and questions. They made the most difficult time in my life bearable, and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

My husband and I reached out to Attorney Slate during a very difficult time in our life when my husband was trying to obtain custody of his son. In spite of how completely stressed we were at the time, Attorney Slate assured us that everything would be okay. Attorney Slate and his wonderful staff worked diligently and set up an Emergency hearing right away. Through Attorney Slate’s hard work my husband was awarded Temporary Custody and was set for a Final Trial soon thereafter. 6 months later we were back in court and won our hearing for the Final Trial!!! These last couple of months has been very stressful for my husband and I, but I thank God we had Attorney Slate and not a rip-off attorney that just took our money. Attorney Slate and his staff were very compassionate, trustworthy and were there any time we needed them for guidance, advice, etc... In my honest opinion, I feel that this would have been a “Mission Impossible” without Attorney Slate by our side!! I would trust him with my life and have recommended him to just about everyone that inquires about an attorney. Attorney Slate is no joke and is a BEAST in the courtroom, so if you need legal representation hire Attorney Slate, trust me you will not be disappointed and you will thank me in the end!! I have used Dennis Slate as my attorney since 2011. He and his office personnel are professional and responsive. Dennis is very matter of fact and will tell you the exact truth of the matter. His candor is much appreciated. I would recommend his law office to anyone in need of an attorney.

Dennis and Melissa are without any question two of the worse attorneys I have ever dealt with. They were never prepared when arriving to court, they provided false legal advise, and through their own actions place me at greater financial risk without every explaining to me the risk. Dennis told me in in very clear terms that one condition existed while in his office, then when we went to court it was determined to be completely false because of what language he and his staff wrote in my decree. Had I not hired anyone, I could have done no worse than what he allowed to occur through his poor representation and by not being prepared or understand the case at all. On top of their extremely poor work, they will also nickle and dime you for every penny they can get. I was even invoiced for a US stamp ($1.00) for that! If you ever want an attorney who is more concerned with how they can get more money out of you and who cares less about your case, this is your guy..... I would NEVER recommend anyone hire this pathetic excuse for a legal professional......and I use that term loosely.

Unfortunately my husband and I had to file Chapter 13 last year. The Slate Law Firm made the whole process very easy and painless for us. Melissa Dennis who has been assisting us has done a great job of keeping us informed and checking in on us to see how we are doing. They have done a great job!

Mr. Slate was a thorough, no nonsense attorney. His court room demeanor was professional and forthright, which was reassuring given the circumstances of my divorce. I liked dealing with his associates and working with a smaller firm as well. If you are looking for an attorney that can get the job done, I would highly recommend Mr. Slate.
