I was arrested for 2nd Degree Felony Aggravated Assault DW. I was looking at a punishment range from 2-20 years in prison. This arrest and experience was life altering. I looked up the best attorneys in Fort Worth and we found Benson Varghese. He had the best reviews for dismissals and no bills. I am originally from New Zealand and I own a business here in the states. With my arrest my business was in jeopardy. I transport equipment to military bases and there is a security clearance, with this charge I wouldn’t pass the clearance and I wouldn’t be able to run my business. I was represented by Steve Jumes for an arrest for and Assault on a Public Servant back in July. I have been to court around 4/5 times and my initial offer was 2-10 years in state jail. I did not want to take that offer because It was going to be a felony on my record. Steve did an amazing job and got me an offer of 2 years probation and got my case lowered to a misdemeanor. My brother was appointed to Anna Summersett by the state. We couldnt be more happy with the outcome of the case. My brother was on probation for a DWI and deferred probation for Felony POCS. While on probation he picked up a new criminal trespass. Ms. Summersett was able negotiate reinstatement on his deferred felony avoiding a criminal conviction, then Ms. Summersett was able to get my brother credit for time served offer on his DWI so his interlock could be removed. This way our mom is not paying for interlock while he serving time in a drug rehabilitation program. She is extremely pleasant and great.
