I would not rely on a negative review written by an anonymous person. That tells me that the writer is an angry coward attempting to hurt a good lawyer and person. My name is Gerald Anderson. I am not a friend of Mr. Milledge, but a client. Mr. Milledge has handled several legal matters for me. Yes he is busy at times and can't always come to the phone, but I have enough sense and respect to make an appointment to visit him at a mutually convenient time. I would not expect my doctor to come to the phone each time I decide to call him when I know that he is seeing patients. I would make an appointment to see him like any other sane person. Mr. Milledge is a very good man and lawyer who actually cares about his clients and the quality of his work. If you want a lawyer that is down to earth and will to talk you rather than talk at you or down to you, go to either Sam Milledge or his son Sam Milledge, II. Mr. Milledge talks about your legal problem and a possible solution before discussing money. Most lawyers talk about money before you can sit down and tell them about your problem. Mr. Milledge is the last of dying breed of lawyer. Please disregard the negative reviews written by anonymous cowards trying to discredit and harm a very good person and lawyer. I have nothing to gain by writing this review. I am only speaking the truth.

Be aware that there are 2 Sam L Milledges (father and son). There is no distinction between them in the Texas Bar records (no jr. or sr.). My experience is with the older Milledge. I hired this lawyer to handle my bankruptcy case. After filling out the reams of paperwork, my case was never filed. Calls to the office for status updates were never returned. The paralegal working there is the one who really dropped the ball, which she said in her own words. Then, she said it was because they did not receive full payment. Well, they had been debiting directly from my account, so I know they have the money. The only way to get a response was to contact the Texas Bar. The mishandling of my case led to the even more complications that caused extreme hardship for my family. I was hopeful in the beginning, but they were ultimately dashed.

This guy is a very good attorney that thinks outside of the box. I had a bankruptcy problem caused by my previous attorney and I almost lost my house. Nobody else including my previous attorney would try to help me. Mr. Milledge took my case and fixed my problem with much ease. I have my house free and clear thanks to Sam Milledge. He could have turned his back on me like the other lawyers, but he didn't. I would disregard any negative comments about this man based on my experience with him.

Beware of this attorney, he lacks professionalism and any amount of integrity. He failed to handle my case in any matter resembling a competent attorney. He lacks the common knowledge of case procedures.

I don't know what problems this lawyer has had in the past. This lawyer did more than was required to make sure I was taken care of. I have known and used the legal services of Mr. Milledge 10 years. I can't say enough about his honesty and integrity. He is always up front with his clients. He tells you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear. There have been several times that I thought I had a legal problem and was willing to pay Mr. Milledge $10,000. Mr. refused to take my money because he did not feel that I had a problem. As it turned out, he was right and did not have a problem. He could have taken my money and I would not have ever known. I wish more lawyers were like this attorney. If they were, the overall system would be better and people would have a better opinion of lawyers. This man changed my attitude about lawyers.

I was very pleased with this lawyer. I have dealt other lawyers before, but this lawyer has been the most honest and straight forward lawyer that I have ever met. I felt like more than a client. He always took time to evaluate and discuss my case.
