I met with Emy Cordano in October of last year, for a consultation. Since, I have met with several other attorneys to be confident with who I pick. Emy and I spoke for over an hour. She took notes, asked great questions, and literally appeared already invested and sincere. Although some time has past, her office staff has kept in touch - whereas no other office followed up even once. Many friends referred their attorneys, some I met. I found Attorney Cordano on my own. Divorce and child custody can have complex challenges. I want someone smart, experienced, and can understand what is best.

My experience with Emy as my attorney was great. She took the time to make sure she knew my story, what I wanted and ensured I was comfortable with my decisions but in turn was able to tell me what was reasonable and not so reasonable. I was able to see everything on my end as well as the opposing side in my paternity case and never felt blindsided. I had confidence in her in which made me feel confident in my case. I also loved that I was able to get invoice with an explanation of everything I was being charged for and why. Thank you Emy!

I have worked with Emy for over a year now. She is very professional and on top of it. I would recommend her to any of my clients. She is the type of attorney that you would want on your side in the court room not the other way around. With that said she is a pleasure to be with.

WORST ATTORNEY I HAVE EVER HAD A CONSULTATION WITH! Rating one star because zero stars isn't an option. Went in for a consultation to which Emy showed up extremely arrogant and judgmental from the very moment she walked into the room. Her receptionist had taken my credit card as soon as I arrived, had I kown she hadn't charged my account the consultation fee I would have walked out of the consultation the moment she came in...but I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, something she didn't deserve. She didn't listen to anything I had to say and told me it was my fault my ex was causing problems and there was nothing that could be done about it and, better yet, that I should be THANKING her for telling me that. I'm stuck in hell for the next 8.5 years and Emy offered zero assistance. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON A UNCARING AND ARROGANT ATTORNEY LIKE EMY! **Update: When Emy read my review she threatened, bullied, and attempted to blackmail me into removing my review. She called me a liar and threatened me with a lawsuit for my honest review. I did amend my review after I had learned she did not actually charge me a consultation fee. I had no knowledge the fee wasn't actually charged to my account as I did not stick around for a receipt. As soon as I verified I was not actually charged the fee I removed that statement from my review. If I had honestly known I did not pay for the consultation prior to Emy coming into the room I would have left the moment she came in the room. Most unprofessional ad humiliating consultation I have ever attended. I cannot remove a truthful and honest review of my experience.

My wife had to deal with a pretty nasty battle between her and her ex over their children. After much searching my wife found Emy. In my dealings with her I found that Emy actually cared about what happened with my wife and her situation. Emy fought hard to ensure my wife got what she wanted and we weren't "left out in the cold" when it came to my step kids. Emy also worked with us financially, which allowed us to not only use her valuable skills but also not sink into debt while doing so. She goes against the old thought that all attorneys are only out for money and will do anything for it. She is a truly remarkable human being and a tenacious lawyer. She is very knowledgeable, experienced, caring and loyal. She is always straight forward and honest with you, even if you don't want to hear it. This is a remarkable and amazing facet of her practice that most lawyers don't have. If something is not attainable she lets you know, and never promises you anything she can't deliver. I would highly recommend Emy to anyone that needs an attorney to fight for and believe in them. If a situation between my wife and her ex ever arises again we will very quickly return to Emy to ensure that our situation gets taken care of in the most professional and personable way possible. Emy... thank you for all you have done, you are amazing!

I cannot say enough good about Emy. This is an attorney who uses facts and those facts need to be backed up with documents. You cant find many lawyers who fight with the truth and takes every case they take on personal and fights for you as if you are family. She helped me through a very nasty situation. She shows compassion and tells you what you need to know not what you want to know. She never promises anything that she cant deliver. She is one of a kind and she will now be my go to person if i ever have a situation with my ex. You want to know the truth about a lawyer then ask a client that has worked with them from beginning to end.

Emy has gotten me through a really hard time in my life, by accepting my case and getting all the paperwork and everything taken care from start to finish. I was thinking about filing on line, but didn't t have the time to hassle with paperwork and everything else involved. She is so nice and makes you feel so comfortable the moment you meet her. She does also charge reasonable rates. I'm not made of money and was having a lot of financial situations in my life due to the divorce. She was so willing and wonderful to work with me. Thank you again Emy!

Emy knew the laws and was prepared to do what was right in my case and serve mine and my children's interests to secure their future for the better. Emy worked with me on the financial side of the process to be fair and get the job done.

Emy is a very capable and somewhat intense lawer who will fight for the outcome you are looking for. Her intensity may be off putting to some, but if you need a lawyer do you really want someone who is complacent or laid back to fight for you? She is very good at making sure that you understand what you are agreeing to so you do not agree to something that you regret later. If she is convinced that you understand and you want to go forward she will back you up all the way, even if she does not think it is the best decision.. I could not have asked for a better lawyer to represent and advise me.

I was able to get primary custody of my daughter. Emy did a great job representing my interest and making sure i had the knowledge to be successful in Utah Court.
