Edit: When they get negative reviews they pretend they have no record of working with you...the emails they charged me for don't lie. I spent over $3,000 dollars for Burton Family Attorneys to tell me I would need to get a lawyer in another state. I am sure they spend more on starbucks on any give day so it was no problem for them. A complete waste of time and money that I didnt have. This law firm wasted time when it was of the essence, which in turn left me defeated. They nickle and dime you for every second...phone calls, emails, etc.. like I said before I spent the cash to retain an attorney only to have them steal my money, then tell me that they couldn't help me. I'd give negative five stars if I could. They simply let me down when I needed them the most. Go somewhere else!.. WILL N.....ripped off by Burton Law

My case was finalized last year and I feel very disappointed with the final result. That is the reason for my negative review to Burton Family Attorneys in Ogden. There were many errors in my case that I didn’t see due to my lack of experience in the legal filed. I think that when you hire an attorney is with the expectation to receive guidance and advice to be able to make the right decisions. There were many things that weren’t explained to me during the process and I end it up signing a bad agreement that I am currently paying the consequences. Most of the errors found were references of grammar or typos instead of the meaning that each proposal carried. During the consultation I asked twice how much were the attorney’s fees and the only answer I got was that it varies, I did not get any number until I received the first bill which was extremely expensive and then is when they explained how much were the attorney and paralegal fees. If you don’t have any experience in family law, think twice before you hire this law firm and expect that you are going to spend a lot of money.

I recently went through a divorce which was hard for me and my family. When I was looking for an attorney to represent me I couldn’t help but feel Matthew was genuinely sincere about helping me get through this process. Matthew was amazing!!!! I was worried that I wouldn’t have communication with my attorney to help me resolve and answer the questions that come up during a divorce. Matthew communicated with me on a daily basis if needed and sometimes I needed him after business hours. Matthew always responded to me in a timely manner and in many times when he wasn’t at work. There were many times through my process of divorce that my now ex wife would threaten to take my kids away from me or come to my place of residence to have arguments and a fight with me. Matthew was always there to answer my questions and tell me what my rights were as a father. I ended up having to go through mediation to get things resolved and I knew that Matthew had my back. I don’t wish anybody to have to go through a divorce but I promise you if you choose Matthew as an attorney to represent you,he will go above and beyond any expectations you might have to represent you and defend you. I can’t thank Matthew enough for everything he did for me.

I’m very Impressed with how fast my divorce and custody was done. Started end end of April and fully done by August 2nd. Peter and Yessenia are a dream team! The peace of mind they have given me and my daughter is worth wayyyyyyy more then I paid! They are the best!

"0" stars !! Took money and didn't do ANYTHING !! Didn't meet with client didn't turn in paperwork needed didn't even talk with client before meeting with judge...We got screwed !!!!!!!!!
