Ken Burton made miracles happen for me. My divorce was really rare, and I felt emotionally paralyzed about my entire situation thinking no one could possibly fix what had been broken. It took such a mental toll on me and my three little kids.. Ken continually made big moves for us and made sure my kids were safe along the way. He kept me hopeful and educated along the process and I was incredibly happy with our outcome. Because of Ken and his team my three kids are now adopted by my new husband. My sister was the stay at home parent (not working) for almost 20 year marriage and a good parent. Burton Family Attorneys represented her. She would have done better without an attorney. After settlement conference she was left with the statutory minimum for spousal support and she had to fight to get 50/50 child custody. Then she was left with a huge bill she had no way to pay with a huge interest rate. They never attempted to get attorney's fees to pay for their work. My sister couldn't even get a credit card to cover it like they suggested because she didn't have credit from not being the financial spouse. Don't go here if you were not the "breadwinner" they won't take care of you.

Getting a divorce was not something I thought I would have to do. However when that happened, I was referred to Burton Family Law by a colleague, and had the opportunity of working with attorney Eliza Van Orman and paralegal Sarah Tuckett. These women were amazing to work with! In addition to being very knowledgeable, they were professional, kind and patient with all of my questions. They were responsive to my emails, and often anticipated my needs before I knew what they were. I was always informed of updates in a timely manner. They were on top of things, and I never had to worry that something wouldn't get completed on time. During this challenging and often emotional time I really felt like they cared about me as a person, I never felt judged or that I was "stupid" because I didn't know the legal system.
