I never believed in divorce, just tried and tried to do the best I could under awful situations. At one point felt running away would save my life but still no divorce till I realized it would never be safe to go back and he had full legal power over everything, having made me sign everything away. I had a wonderful therapist that helped me realize that sometimes divorce is the right choice. I prayed about it before deciding. I began to ask around, also terrified of being taken advantage of by lawyers. Over and over again, Marylin Moody Brown was recommended. I talked to her and right away she told me how to reverse all the documents signing away my income, home worth and medical choices. I was so amazed and felt like she was taking me by the hand. She did teach and help me infinitely. My ex said he couldn't find anyone who wanted to oppose her because they knew they would lose. My fear was greatly reduced hearing this. I wish we didn’t need an attorney but glad that we were able to enlist the services of Grant Dickinson to deal with our legal matters. Grant has been great to work with and responsive to our needs. His confident, calming demeanor along with his negotiating skills in dealing with a difficult and combative adversary, made all the difference.
