This law firm represented me in an ADA discrimination case against my employer and my attorney was Joanne Dekker. All I can say is, stay away! My strategy meeting and initial consultation went okay, but it all went downhill from there.
Since I am a better writer than talker, I sent a statement to the paralegal that was supposed to be my point of contact. Based on subsequent conversations it is clear that the attorney never read it. I was on numerous occasions contacted by paralegals to request information that they already had and then I was billed for this. For example, I would get an email asking for my mailing address, something they already had.
The two legal documents they produced for me had so many typos, I had to spend significant time correcting it. They even misspelled their own firm name on one of them. Of course I was billed for all this as well as their valuable time looking at my corrections. They often contained factual errors I had to correct as well or missing key information.
During meetings with my attorney I would constantly have to remind her of facts. Even at my EEOC mediation meeting she did not seem to know the facts well. At one point prior to this I tried to meet with her but could not get ahold of someone in the office. After being bounced around to several people, because I was apparently the first person to ever want to talk to my attorney and they weren't sure what to do, I got an email from the head paralegal apologizing to me for dropping the ball on my case and asking forgiveness. Nice email to a client!
The worst part is that the attorney didn't advise me about the risks of going forward with my case. It was dependent largely on emotional damages. She talked to me like this was easy, but the EEOC pushed back a lot, and in that meeting she admitted my case was very weak. I might have reconsidered the matter if I knew this, but at this point they had their money and were happy.
If you like your attorney not knowing the facts, legal documents full of typos and missing information, and the worst office staff you could possibly dig up, this firm may be right for you.

Quick to get my money but nothing else. Spent an hour talking with my attorney Matt, they researched OSHA laws, and drafted an abysmal letter that I had to make corrections on and it seemed to be lazily written. They had no idea if the people they sent the letter to had received it; I'm shocked they didn't certify the letter. After spending $3000, I canceled my services, and they refunded my remainder back to me twice, one by check and the other back onto my card; I then received an email from them a week later saying they had double refunded my account and wanted the amount back. Horribly managed firm and I would advise anyone reading this to stay away and find another place if you value your time, money and sanity.

The Spiggle Law Firm only adds "Insult to Injury." I would not recommend this firm to anyone. I had a lengthy waiting period for an intake call. I was told by the client engagement manager that I spoke with on this call that the Spiggle Law Firm only represents employees.
Unfortunately, I was initially assigned by the the firm, Shari Youtz, to represent me in my case. I quickly learned that Ms. Youtz has never had any experience representing employees. She has never filed an EEOC claim on behalf of an employee. Rather she has supported the legal division of a large government contractor in its defense of EEOC cases filed by employees. After learning this, I requested my case to be transferred to another attorney.
It was transferred to a contractor attorney - Joanne Dekker. Her fees are well above market rate at $600 an hour. When I finally got to speak with her, she was not apprised of the full facts of my case - despite me having already had a 45 minute recorded phone with the client engagement manager where I detailed my experience of harassment and retaliation. Furthermore, I had previously sent several emails to the firm's paralegal (who I later found out is also a contract worker for the firm and not an employee of the firm). The emails contained attached files which evidenced and fully described my experiences. I was charged for nearly 5 hours of the paralegal's time for her to basically print out these documents.
In addition, to not being fully apprised of my case before speaking with me, Ms. Dekker was not empathetic and supportive on the call. Rather she was hostile and rude and it became clear that she did not see much money in the case for her to make as an attorney. She subsequently charged me for a demand letter that was never sent and that I neither requested nor consented to have written on my behalf. In the end, my case was not settled after I spent a considerable amount of time and money, wherein quite literally the only services the firm provided was to request from me information and supporting documents, print what I had sent them, and write a 1 paragraph letter of representation.
Lesson learned - never hire a firm without FIRST speaking with the attorney that will represent you. Ms. Dekker is a cold-hearted contractor and Ms. Youtz has no experience representing employees.

Two years ago I was in a very bad place at work. I found The Spiggle Law Firm quite by accident online and began working first with Shannon Beebe, then later with Joanne Dekker. Joanne was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was kind and patient and empowered me to work through a complicated and emotionally exhausting process. In the end, in large part due to Joanne’s diligence and hard work, I was able to get resolution. The Spiggle Law Firm made it possible for me to see the process through to a highly successful result. Thank you Joanne! I highly recommend The Spiggle Law Firm.

I was recently facing difficulties at work, and reached out to the Spiggle Firm for legal advice and support. Tom Spiggle was incredible at helping me navigate understanding my rights and the context of my employment situation from an impartial perspective so we could truly strategize around my next steps. Even just after our first consultation, I felt confident in my rights, prepared to stand up to any additional bullying I might experience, and aware of potential next steps if legal action was necessary.
The intake process was also incredibly efficient and supportive. I had reached out to two other firms a few months back, and felt rushed and like the process was a little haphazard. One even wanted to charge me $500 before they would even look at my intake form to decide if I had an action or valid legal concern worth talking to an attorney about. The technological systems the Spiggle Firm has in place to coordinate intake calls, as well as the interim resources and support provided, make you feel instantly valued and that you matter to the firm. When reaching about employment situations - a place most of us spend the majority of our daily lives - it can be incredibly overwhelming. I am so grateful the Spiggle Firm helped me find a soft landing space in what otherwise felt a bit like a freefall. Thank you so much for your command of the law, strategic mind and insight, and confidence in providing support and analysis. I am sincerely grateful and would absolutely retain this firm in the future.

The Spiggle Law Firm treated me with the best attorney client service they could offer. My Lawyer, Shannon Beebe made me feel completely at ease through out the entire process. I knew my case was important but having a law firm that stands firmly behind you, is the best feeling a plaintiff could have. I’m happy with the results we were able to achieve for my case. I would recommend this firm to anyone who has employment issues such as work place discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, etc. They fought for my case and I am happy I chose them.
