Words can not express my gratitude and appreciation of Mr. Colbert. I am a disabled veteran and had an unfortunate situation happen to me where I was arrested and could have been facing more jail time if i was found guilty, so my life was I'm complete shambles especially since I have a security clearance for my job which was in jeopardy of being revoked and also, i have a baby that is due any day now. With my back against the wall, I did like any other person would do, I hit my knees and prayed. The next day I received a flier in the mail and never knew keeping that flier would have been the best decision of my life. Mr. Colbert had sent out a flier and I normally don't read but this time, something told me to read it. I gave Mr Colbert a call and he understood my situation thoroughly. I was sold I wanted him as my lawyer to defend me but he encouraged me to talk to other lawyers and if any of them gave me a better feeling that I had with him go with them no hard feelings. That there shows so much about his character, not only he is understanding but he also want you to go and get other opinions before spending the money on him. I did as he said and none of the other 6 lawyers I talked to gave me the reassurance that my best interest would be met so I called Mr. Colbert and we went from there. He is super knowledgeable of Virginia law, communication skills are top notch but the way he explains and attack your worries are unparalleled. I had the pleasure of Mr Colbert defending me yesterday in court and prior to seeing the judge, I was 100% sure I was going to jail or I was going to take the plea deal that was offered. Mr. Colbert came in with a strategy that put all that to rest and we went from there. When I tell you he is surgical in the courtroom that would be a understatement. The way he presented his case with facts, with law references and even did research to find cases that were similar to mine that ultimately lead to my case being dismissed by the judge. He is truely the Johnnie Cochran of our time and I will recommend him 10 times out of 10 to anyone who are in need of legal representation. I hired Mr Colbert after I was given a summons for “use of marijuana while operating a vehicle”. I reached out and hired Mr Colbert on short notice of my original court date. He accepted the role and did not hesitate to represent me. When I told him my original court date, he told me that he wouldn’t be available during that time due to prior obligations. Still, he did what he could and got the court date pushed back a month, so that both of us could be present. In the mean time, I told him the facts of my case, and he assured me that he would be there with me step by step to provide justice. On the day of my court hearing, not only did Mr Colbert provide justice, but he provided satisfaction. He came prepared, and with the facts and his wit, the judge granted me a “not guilty” verdict. I must say, if I had any other lawyer behind me, I do not know if I would have felt this comfortable throughout this process. Thank you!

My 19 year old son was facing 5 felony charges. I had to find the best of the best to represent him. I searched and searched and I located Mr. Colbert’s information.
