I reached out to Erin just a few days before my court date for a speeding ticket, and she was extremely helpful in explaining my options. She was able to get my charge reduced to one that did not result in demerit points that would carry over to my home state, and that is less likely to result in an increase in my insurance premium. I would highly recommend the Smith Firm for anyone looking for a traffic attorney in Northern VA!

Contacted the Smith Firm via their website. Received an immediate response. I was give reasonable expectations. Very up front. Very responsive. Very professional. Easy to work with. Very reasonable fee. 46 in a 25 was brought down to a $64 court fee and a $30-$40 driver improvement course. The deposition was better than I expected. The reviews speak for themselves.

Erin Smith is the best ever. She was thorough with explaining my case, empathetic and listened to me while setting my mind at ease. She was able to get my RD reduced to speeding. My plans for the future is to take it slow but, if I ever get stopped again - I'm calling the Smith Law Firm. They rock!!

Forget the rest and go with best! I was extremely pleased with my representation by Erin Smith. She was by far the most knowledgeable and less expensive than the other law firms I had talked with. When you talk with Erin, you can rest assured that you are dealing with someone that has direct experience with lots of cases in Fairfax County. You quickly realize that you are dealing directly with the person who will be the one representing you in court, and not some assistant or legal aide/intern. Her vast knowledge and matter of fact way of talking to you is refreshing. Her quick response and patience to step though any questions I had was very much appreciated. Although she did stress that there are no guarantees ( and she did identify all the relevant variables) she did manage to lower the cost to me and significantly reduce the points on my driver's license. I am confident that I couldn't have gotten a better deal anywhere else, even if I had spent more money. In Fairfax County you will be deluged with flyers from multiple attorneys. I called a lot of them and got a wide range of information and costs quoted. I was a little disturbed by the lack of consistency. Then I called Erin - everything she said made sense & the confidence and experience just came through the phone. Everything Erin said was consistent and logical, and she was very patient with my questions, best of all her answers made perfect sense. I knew I didn't need to call anyone else - I wanted Erin to represent me. Hopefully I will not need this type of service in the future, but if my family or friends do, I know exactly who to recommend - Erin Smith.

In short, if you get a reckless driving/criminal citation in Fairfax County, just go with Erin. She's professional, straightforward, knowledgable and super easy to communicate with. I've never had legal representation for many of my traffic court appearances and this is by far THE smoothest experience of all. The long story: I received a reckless driving/criminal citation while in Fairfax County... a slew of flyers and mailers were sent to me within weeks. I have had one previous reckless driving citation in another county, reduced to speeding and done it without any counsel so I thought I could do the same in this case. While going through the flyers, I thought it couldn't hurt to contact some of them. Erin was by far the most responsive and straightforward in her response, also advising me to bring my clean driving record in my home state... (admittedly, I have had numerous speeding tickets in other states). I asked if I really needed to retain counsel and apparently Fairfax County is notorious for not even speaking to the defendant if they do not have legal representation. She also added that if I decide to retain counsel, I don't even have to appear in court as it actually would not make a difference (I actually got to enjoy my day off work instead of spending half my day worried in a courtroom, waiting to be called). My citation got bumped down to speeding (no criminal offense, whoop!), I didn't have to go to court, and all my interactions were done through email (I travel and not available in person and by phone a lot). Just amazed how smoothly this all went. Bottom line, just send all your friends and family to Erin for their traffic legal needs.

Erin Smith is the most helpful traffic lawyer I have came across so far. She far exceeded my expectations when she was able to dismiss my speeding violation ticket. And to top it of, I didn't have to be present during the trail. Her fees are reasonable for the services she provide. I would highly recommend her and would gladly retain her services in the future.
