We called Steven Krieger Law just to see if someone would be willing to answer a couple of questions about our situation and our rights as tenants so we would know how to proceed. Katarina promptly returned our call and was incredibly kind and helpful. She spent over 25 minutes speaking to us on the phone, answering our questions, clarifying our doubts, and walking us through a couple of hypothetical situations. As tenants who feel our landlord violated our lease and VA Code and wrongfully withheld a large chunk of our security deposit, we felt quite disappointed and helpless. Katarina was supportive, thorough, easy to understand, and SUPER knowledgeable. She gave us great guidance, and we are moving forward with confidence! Mr. Krieger and his associate Katarina Nguyen are as good as it gets. I contacted Mr. Krieger's firm with a property rights and landlord/tenant question when a 26 relationship, sadly, ended. Things sometimes do not always evolve favorably, or amicably, in this type of case. Both attorneys, gave me timely, on point advice, explained the legal ramifications and remedies, were prepared to represent me in court if we had not been able to reach a settlement. They are extremely knowledgeable, courteous and empathetic, detail oriented and professional while working through my issues and case. They were straightforward in explaining options and "what ifs" and gave excellent counsel and guidance. Though I know this is not the case, the firm made me feel like I was their only client. I definitely recommend this firm, and, would use them again in a heartbeat if ever needed.

I had a unique case that was not a slam dunk substantively speaking. I am extremely principled and refused to settle. I chose professional representation due to the complexity of this case. I expect a law firm to provide an accurate description of what is the most likely scenario. Steven's description of how things would likely turn out was accurate to the letter. Now to speak about Katarina. I was floored. I felt like this was a case of a landlord strong-arming a tenant and I refused to back down on principle. I have never seen anything as thoroughly prepared and well delivered in my professional career as the argument that Katarina delivered today. I truly think the plaintiff (large well-known law firm) was overly confident and underprepared and Katarina showed up in a big way. I don't see any logical way this case could have been ruled other than how Katarina presented it. Katarina, I would describe you as an extremely buttoned up professional before the case. I definitely wouldn't have described you as a fighter. I was wrong and it may be the best asset you have as others would probably underestimate you as I did in this aspect of your personality. You brought fire to the courtroom today. Thank you for the intensity, professionalism, composure, and tenacity. I wouldn't want to take a case against you for any reason if I was opposing counsel. Steven, in the words of Casey Affleck in Good Will Hunting, "Katarina is wicked smaht". I would recommend hiring another lawyer to support your caseload after today as anyone who was sitting in that courtroom (packed house) is probably googling your law firm. Your client requests are about to go parabolic. Well done, I couldn't have expected a better outcome. Pure Gold!

I retained Mr. Krieger to handle a very complex out of state child custody matter. He was extremely prompt to return my call and thoroughly explained my options.
