You might be asking yourself if you need a lawyer for a traffic ticket. If you got the ticket in Fairfax County, you do. The Fairfax County District Court is notoriously hard on people who get traffic tickets. If you show up in court, the Commonwealth Attorney won't even talk to you. If you plead not-guilty before the judge, you make your case, the cop makes your case, and then you are found guilty 99.9% of the time. If you go into Fairfax County District Court without a lawyer, you're sharkbait. I retained the S&R Law Firm because I got what I thought was a very unfair speeding ticket. For a very fair fee, they represented me in court, THREE TIMES, obtained two continuances, and eventually got the infraction reduced. I was extremely pleased with the outcome. I used to live right across the street from Dunn Loring Metro station.
