I got a Reckless Driving ticket in Prince William county, on the way home from OBX heading back to MD. It was about 3:45am I was going 91 in a 65. The officer pulled me over gave me a reckless driving ticket. I started freaking out as I found it was a Misdemeanor Charge and I’ve never been charged with anything before. Hell I’ve never got a speeding ticket before, called a few lawyers they all said “your going to jail, no way around it”. I called Steve and after one phone call he gave me a list of stuff to do before court. (26 hours community service, Speedometer calibration, MD Driving record, a few letters of recommendation). I was super nervous as I’ve heard people going to jail over this, so I completed everything Steve asked me to do. Arrived at court with all of my paperwork, got the Reckless Driving dropped to a speeding ticket of 87-65 with a 250$ fine and court costs. Compared to 2500$ and 12 months in jail I’d take my outcome 100% of the time.. I would 100% recommend Steve for any traffic or criminal defense. I would definitely hire Steve again.

My lawyer was Tracey Lenox. She was late to court the day of my hearing complaining of knee pain. She then proceeded to advise me to take a bad deal instead of working hard to defend me at trial. I later found my sentence was worse than people with both similar and more serious charges. I'm disappointed with the quality of work and feel taken advantage of. I should have realized I picked the wrong lawyer the moment I found myself dealing with her assistant more than her. Once Ms. Lenox took the money, there ended her defense on my behalf. I would not recommend anyone put their faith in this lawyer/law firm. Please find yourself a lawyer that will truly work on your behalf.

my Son In Law got a reckless ticket from a PWC police officer for passing in a turning lane when it was not a turning lane. Steve Duckett got the evidence to prove the officer was wrong and a Reckless ticket got dismissed. Honestly can say that if you have any kind of traffic/criminal charges that you want gone or reduced you need to go with STEVE DUCKETT and nobody else. You will be Thankful that you did!! Steve Ducket represented my son in two separate reckless driving tickets, one of which involved an accident and driving without a license (he only had a permit at the time). I recently received a ticket in Prince William County going 88 in a 60 mph on 95S. Being over 80mph, and over 20 mph over the speed limit, I was issued a reckless driving ticket and knew hiring a lawyer was my best bet. Though slightly more expensive then some of the other attorneys I spoke with, I felt most confident after speaking with Steve and some of the individuals in his office, and decided he was my best bet- and I was not disappointed. The first success was Mary Soliman from his office was able to move my court date up three weeks since I was going to be on orders out of the state at the time of my court date. Then, after following all of Steve's directions - which included acquiring my drivers record, completing 28 hours of community service (the number mph I was over the limit), attending a four hour aggressive driver class, getting my speedometer calibrated, and creating a 'good person file' listing my accomplishments and highlighting all the ways I was a positive, contributing member of society- Steve was able to get my ticket completely dismissed! I expected and hoped it would be reduced to a regular speeding ticket, which is what the other lawyers I saw in court that day do, but mine was completely dismissed and required no further action or mandatory classes from me. Barring the court fees, I owed the county nothing, I didn't lose any points on my license, and best of all I didn't get charged with a misdemeanor. Throughout the whole process Steve was very professional, confident, and calming (which was worth its weight in gold since I was a nervous wreck leading up to the date). I would highly recommend Steve to anyone facing a reckless driving charge in PW County. Though I have no intention of getting any more reckless driving tickets, I plan to keep his number in my phone just in case and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. Thanks again, Steve!
